Imma be honest. I love the song. But it is very sad. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this song represents someone who has everyone around them expecting perfection. Everyone wants them to be perfect, so they see anything that might be considered weird or different as something that others would look down on if she/he was to do it. For example, Monika has the best grades, is the most popular girl in school. She wants to be straight, but can't help but be attracted to girls. This puts so much stress on her that she starts to break down whenever she thinks about it. She has a self-depreciating mindset about it because she thinks that others will hate her for not being, ''Little Miss Perfect''. I probably thought about this too much, but oh well.

Head Canon Time! Monika developed a crush on Sayori after she was with her in the Literature Club for a while. Once she found out Sayori liked MC, Monika grew jealous.
