It was one of the most magic nights in my life. Austin, 6th Street, Bobs Generic Blues bar. Haynes the bass and drummer. Four people in the place. Alan Haynes played like there were fifty million people there. Honest, deep, clean and driven. He was in a spell. All types of stories surrounded him. Some tragic, some mythical. All I can share is you are hearing and seeing the real deal. I have listened to players around the world. Alan is driven by something so more profound than blues, stardom or a wannabe Clapton God. There is something there so grounded that if you are not there with him - he will simply walk away. He demands that you be smart, schooled in the history of the blues and awake to what he is sharing with you. At that point - you have arrived at Led Belly, B.B., Stevie, Winter, Hendrix and on....... lean in - there is so much more to Haynes than some will ever realize. So overlooked - simply magic.

I’m so in love with him its ridiculous, please tell more. I’ve been scouring the web to find him live somewhere on a weekend I’m not working. Its been obvious since SRVs ol' tech “Mr C” told me about him, that he hes truly a conduit for something greater than himself. You mention tragic? Mythical? Please elaborate if you can.
