Finnland was a Monarchy for a Brief period in WW1 when a German Prince was Elected as Monarch of Finnland to apese the Germans, but in the wake of WW1 and the Finnish Civil War it never ectualy came in existence, like Lithuania and that has the decendent of its proposed Monarch in HoI4 as a possible King

The Finnish parliament electing the Prince of Hesse to the vacant Finnish throne did not turn Finland into a monarchy; Finland already was a monarchy, with the 1772 constitution being in effect. This changed only in July 1919 when Regent Mannerheim ratified the republican constitution. The Senate proclaiming Finland a republic in December 1917, which was two days later accepted by vote by Parliament, did not as such supersede the constitution.

Around half a year ago I was working on a Finnish expansion mod, but i stopped working on it when the announce AAT. I had some very similar ideas, like supporting Karelian uprisings, the socialist path requiring a civil war, and a path to regaining your freedom in the Stalinist path I did have some other ideas which they didn't do, here's a short list of them: If you lose the winter war you could either stay democratic or go fash (this was only way to go fash) how ever by winning you could join the allies you could also avoid the winter war by accepting the soviet demands and trading concessions I also had a vague idea for a monarchist path that required the Kaiserreich to exist for you to go down it, but it was never implemented this was obviously a slow focus tree since there wasn't much to do before 1939, and since so much of it relied on the winter war, it was hard to make it work with the alt-history paths of the Soviet focus tree. I still have a few photos of the tree saved, and I intend on making a new mod combining the DLC's tree with my own ideas once it's released Also the Finno-Russian republics path is so stupid, it's awesome

"finland wasnt ever a monarchist country" sorry you couldntt be more wrong. I was really hoping for some sort of german-king like we had during independence. if yu look at kaiserreich it paints a good picture or the monarchists sentiment.
