This is how i described it: Like a gray foggy forest with tall pointy pine trees, the wind clears your nose and blows your hair away like wind in a storm. You are soaring above the grey forest in the cclouds like in the point of veiw of one of those sky birds eye veiws of those ature documentaries. It kinda of reminds you of those light gray mushrooms, that feel a little bit rubbery when you chew it but it's not a chewy rubbery. That but just with more air in your lungs. Fresh air. The bloodflood is the adrenaline, Mandela Boys is a gang in Common. CO-double-MON is a reference to Southampton Common, Joe's hometown, he once got beaten and mugged there. Bloodflood shares some lyrics with Fitzpleasure about Tralala; the novel's chapter 4 of Last Exit to Brooklyn by Hubert Selby Jr. About the prostitute who was group-raped. The pt.II lines draw upon the same violent and sexual tensions described in “Fitzpleasure”.
