I suffered with depression since childhood, never felt like I was enough. I was an addict to lustful things to cope with my depression but it only made me feel more and more impure. Was suicidal at times, didn't see any value in my life at all. That is until I went to a youth camp and asked God to show himself to me if he is real, closed my eyes and lifted my hands. A few seconds later I saw a very bright light, and right there I got baptized by the Holy Spirit. My Dad committed suicide at the end of last summer August 18th 2021. He threw himself off of a fishing boat and into the lake tied down by an anchor. I couldn’t get the mental picture out of my head. It broke me and I need Jesus now more than ever. My Dad was my encouragement in my faith and my absolute best friend that I did all my favorite things with. I know Jesus is holding me right now or else I could never gotten through the past 8 months. Amen....just 2wks ago my husband had high blood pressure and high sugar levels with dengue fever, 2days later while taking care of him I fell ill with my Chronic Asthma and pneumonia, I was admitted as if not enough to cope with our baby daughter about 6 year's old fell sick too with pneumonia and high fever, O pulled my canola off and embraced my daughter in my arms and told her we are going to pray, don't you worry God will send your angels and he will heal mummy, daddy and you especially, let us pray....we prayed and how mighty and powerful he is, we are recovering!!! I am one who took a lot for granted and fell susceptible to a lot of negative behaviors that was not contributing to the ideal way of life that I wanted to live… I was placed in a situation that changed everything for me and led me to a deep deep depression, no eating, no motivation to live, even contemplated suicide on multiple occasions… after being fired from my job and literally staring at a blanket thrown over my door, I received a text message with an invitation to come to church.. after showing up, I received a prayer from the pastor, which felt like I was being touched by God, that changed my entire life. Ever since then I realized the importance of having a connection with God and realized there was a lot that I needed to change within me. “You are the greatest choice I made” this song is one that I’ve listened to and brings so much joy and emotions to me because it speaks so clear to me… to anybody that’s facing depression, loss of someone, loss of self, etc… please don’t give up, give it to God as he is well aware and the stepping stone to the life you want to be apart of. I love you all ❤️
