1:25:29 regarding conceding in paper… I had won G1 and my Jeskai Ephemerate opponent let me gain 3 billion life. I explained to them that a draw in game two was a match win for me. They decided to go to turns with mulldrifter beats and blowing up my lands as their plan… The judge was joking at the end that only one person at my LGS is allowed to play Jeskai Ephem in paper lol.

What's the advantage of a 1-of Myr Kinsmith over a 1-of Workshop Assistant? You still net mana with 1 retriever and a worshop assistant if you have the foundry and altar, right (essentially 1.5 mana per golem) ? Is it just an MTGO consideration?

Mengu you always talk about how mtgo is a different game than paper magic. So I’d love to know where you draw the line between bad sportsmanship and abusing the system. If playing to make your opponent time out on mtgo is fine, shouldn’t abusing a bug be fine as well?

@@AndreaMengucci I understand naturally using the clock to your advantage, but what about the angle shoot in match 1 game 2 where he tried to run your clock by having you arrange blockers? Surely that goes over the line.

On opponents not conceding to a demonstrated loop: in the ACTUAL rules, upon demonstrating a loop and saying how many times you'll do it the opponent ONLY has 2 options. They allow the loop to be completed, or they say when they will respond. You CAN"T force someone to play through the entire loop, that will get a judge call and you will be penalized. Again, the rules state that you can "shortcut" a loop after showing it and stating the outcome. The opponent can then say they have a response. If they DON'T both players treat it like the loop was fully played out. The only reason people get away with this poor sportsmanship and CHEATING is because you cant call a judge in MTGO. Again, you only have to demonstrate a deterministic loop ONCE in the actual rules

MTGO is simply unable to depict loops. Everyone knows this going in and while people abusing that weakness of the client is regrettable and certainly bad sportsmanship, there's not really any way around it besides making loops possible in the client or having a judge able to alter the state of the game on standbye.
