I just now tried to render an image I have of a house, the image i have is from a BIM model of the house however Midjourney totally changes the house and creates some random rendered houses that are somewhat similar in design. If only it was possible to create a rendered image of the exact house as it is on the image i uploaded otherwise whats the use?

Although I love this and can’t wait to start, I wonder if they own the rights to my art/ images

“Midjourney, as the platform enabling the creation of these images, reserves perpetual, non-exclusive, and worldwide rights. This means that while the platform can use these images anytime they want, they are not exclusively theirs, and their usage is not limited to any specific region or time period.”

Which Midjourney subscription plan is best suited for the level of design exploration of this video?

The basic plan should be fine. If you plan on making A LOT of iterations then I suggest the standard plan.

I am a big fan. I think you have mastered midjourney. Question: can midjourney convert my autocad 2d floor plan into a 3d exterior perspective architectural modern rendering?

Thank you very much! That is very kind of you to say. Unfortunately Midjourney is not capable of doing that.

@@gentv9808 History has proven that the adaptive among us don't lose their jobs, they embrace the new technology and find new roles bridging the gap between the old and the new. People who had previous experience with cart mechanics became modern car engineers. Those who made their living laying out text blocks for press became desktop publishers. We're nowhere near at the point where AI is going to take over our jobs. Rather, it's kicked us in the butts to reimagine and enhance our current systems. Be excited about it, embrace it, dive in head first with the free knowledge graciously provided here on this channel. Don't come all up in anyone's face with your dumb, regressive negativity.

How do I get it closer to the original? While those images are nice, what can they be used for other than a students portfolio or something like that. You could not show something like that to a client and say "well its not really going to look like this"

Is there a way these 2D images can be converted into 3D in midjourney or some other plug-in?
@altArchitecture Жыл бұрын
As of now Midjourney is not capable of doing that unfortunately!

It’s rumored that it will be able to in version 6 or 7. There are some quick and dirty tools like Leiapix converter which just makes little videos, or check out Mick Mumpitz channel for how to make a 3d inpainted model to put into Blender from just an image

Please can you help me reduce the variation away from the original image or sketch that I upload? Is there a setting in the Midjourney parameters?
@gentv9808 Жыл бұрын
This is cute at the beginning stages of design, but it's useless when you have to produce anything architectural. In architecture precision is paramount, that is literally the point of the profession. Having Midjourney re-interpret your design is a no-go. It changes too much and all detail is lost. It's like throwing pretty ink at a wall after having chosen the colors and calling yourself an "artist".
@NizarBredan Жыл бұрын
I agree that the usage of this kind of work flow is extremely limited, if not completely useless. However, there are other AI tools for architects that work much better. I played around with PromeAI and it's pretty cool in terms of transforming the aesthetic of your sketch/visualisation.
@gentv9808 Жыл бұрын
@@NizarBredan Great tip thanks. PromeAi seems to be good at retaining the essentials while providing stylistic re-interpretations. I played around with Stable Diffusion + Controlnet and it's returning good results, although it's a lot more cumbersome (and resource heavy) than Prome. I guess we won't have to wait long for an iterative workflow that provides the results we're looking for.
@altArchitecture Жыл бұрын
I agree! Precision in architecture is at times the most important step. At this point in time Midjourney an amazing tool for inspiration. It will only get better. I wouldn’t be so quick to throw it aside. Learn how it works, how to use it, and if it has no place in your workflow then move on. I'm not sure I like this. It takes out the artistic talent of the designer. The image you made were nice but visualisers spend years honing their skills to produce the images. I hardly think Dbox would use this but I could be proven wrong.
@altArchitecture Жыл бұрын
I agree it is a little spooky but I'm looking forward to the great potential it could have in progressing our built environment and how we occupy spaces.
@66meikou Жыл бұрын
@@altArchitecture It could be interesting but I don't like the idea of letting AI determine an outcome.
@SamAmiri Жыл бұрын
Misleading for sure, people are going to think that MJ is capable of turning your sketch into a render when in reality it tries to get a close approximate, it is still incapable of it. The example you are using is deliberate and misleading for sure.
@altArchitecture Жыл бұрын
The example is from following these exact instructions. Is there a step that you feel is causing the image to deviate too far from the original sketch? Remember to run it multiple times.
