The Altaros M24 air rifle is based on the legendary US Army M24 sniper rifle. This PCP version of the M24 rifle excels especially when shooting at extreme distances of hundreds of meters, which were unattainable a few years ago. When using their CNC turned lead bullets in this airgun you are creating a system with which you can experience a unique shooting experience that no other competing system in the world currently offers. Accurate shooting at 500 meters and more is becoming a common reality for air rifles these days. Its appearance and properties are close to a real firearm, but it retains the advantages of an airgun, in the form of quiet and cheap shooting, without the need to visit the shooting range.

ATP slugs are manufactured by using the unique self-developed lead turning technology on a precision CNC machine. Nice shooting I would like to write a few types here for both you and other M24 users. 1) When using the Altaros ATP slug, always clean the barrel chemically (ballistol) and with a nylon brush, otherwise the accuracy is significantly lower, as the barrel must be run-in on the ATP slug (after several dozen shots with ATP slugs it improves even without cleaning, but still not ideal). This will also be the case for shooting right after using the HaN slug. 2) when closing the bolt, always press the bolt axis with your thumb so that you always insert the slug the same depth into the barrel. During this operation, the bolt rests against the barrel and thus always ensures the same position of insertion of the slug, which is essential for maximum accuracy. 3) for the M24 we primarily recommend our ATP King .22 40gr 5.50mm slugs with which we achieve the best accuracy. However, the use of ATP .22 5.50mm slugs is also suitable. Shooting with this rifle requires almost the same approach as shooting with firearms rifles, i.e. proper hold and trigger procedures, otherwise it can happen that the rifle bounces when fired and in most cases it happens that where the crosshair goes after the shot, the impact of the slug also goes. This behavior will be significantly improved by the new aluminum chassis thanks to significantly greater rigidity and ergonomics, which we are preparing and which will be compatible with the original M24

Very good video. You and your mates can shoot rather well. This rifle is interesting even for hunting rather than paper-punching. The Altaros slugs might also be worth investigating. Best to you from upstate NY, USA. Stay well.

Pretty sweet. But I have to say, my Vulcan 3 still shoots better. Even at 300 yards. However, I do really love that fact, that the air tank is hidden in this one. Makes it look and feel like a real firearm. Top notch review.

Nice video guys... I had this gun on my radar for some time now, seeing your video here are my thoughts: The gun looks great, I love the smooth action and the way feeding in slugs. The accuracy shown here is not that great.. at least the 100m results.. I believe Peter could shoot better if the gun was placed on a shooting bag instead of this stand because the gun has a blowback kick. I would like to see an actual shot count, speed measurement consistency and power output per slug used, especially with heavier altaros slugs. Also how easy is to power up or down... what is the performance with heavy pellets? Hope to see more videos on this gun

Very nice rifle and not bad performance at 300 meters for a 22 cal. Since the M24 is a single shot & you discussed hunting with it. Seems the rifle is capable of about 55 fpe at the muzzle according to the website. I wanted to mention if you’re wanting substantially more power you might want to look at some of the 30 cal single shot hunting platforms. Here is a video of a .308 stacking homemade cast 120 grn slugs making about 175 fpe @ target at 200 yds. I would imagine this would be very effective on 100 lb sized game even at 200 yds although I’m not saying, it would be ethical to take shots at this distance . This rifle is limited to 3 shots per fill at this power level and distance as shots 4 and higher will provide increasing ballistic drop beyond impact/point of aim. This is demonstrated by a couple of misses out of a 10 shot string. Most hits are inside 4” center to center on a 10” steel plate. Long Range Lethal?
