Not going to lie, I thought Viltrumite Steve Harvey was done for after Onmi-Man cut his stomach open and drove a spike through him. I love the irony of how Onmi-Man called Steve Harvey weak, and the other two agreed. However, it was Steve Harvey who, while holding his guts in his hands, broke Onmi-Man’s spine and survived the fight after fighting both Invincible and then Onmi-Man back to back, while the other two Viltrumites that agreed that he was weak barely did anything to Onmi-Man and died. And how Harvey held Invincible down with a finger was crazy as well.

The Steve Harvey lookin' Viltrumite seems to have what is called a "Strongman body type". When you compare Strongmen to Bodybuilders, you notice that Strongmen don't usually have abs, they have big bellies instead, but it's still possible for them have abs on their big bellies and either way, they're usually big overall (bigger bellies, arms, legs and can even be taller than bodybuilders). This is because after they work out, they eat a ton of food in order to gain more mass and repeat this cycle day after day which results in them being the strongest men on the planet (in the end, they have to consume over 10,000 calories a day, so they gain mass while also gaining muscle which keeps them from being obese). They have performed feats like lifting over 1000 pounds and pulling buses around to name a few, so they're all about strength over speed. For these aliens who thrive for combat, some may value strength over speed, others value speed over strength and others may want more of a balance (in other words, there are no obese Viltrumites, they'd be considered weak disgraces and killed as a result).

In fights, where balance is key to victory, Strongmen may falter in this matter as they don’t train for combat, they train to be the strongest they can be above all else. However, this is the case for humans, Viltrumites have more capabilities than we do (greater strength, speed, endurance, stamina, senses, lung capacity, pain tolerance, survivability and life span) and don’t often have to fight opponents on their level (as long as they can fight, they are spared and allowed to go on missions), but as Nolan proved, strength isn’t everything. Nolan struggled more with his second opponent than his first foe due to him having a better body type for combating faster foes (he still died of course, but he lasted far longer than the first one did and the first had to catch Nolan completely off guard in order to bring him down with his full weight on Nolan’s spine, one slight misstep would have spelled his doom).

Nolan was worried about Mark, but he was quickly able to convince him to fight seriously and with that, he could focus on his own battle long enough to end it until Mark just fucked up at the right time (I get why, I still hated to see it). As for how long the battles lasted, once Mark got his shit together and Nolan went back to his own fight, there were multiple scene cuts (of them beating the shit out of each other) and I believe it's usually done to give us an idea of something that lasted longer in a short timeframe to save everyone's time and efforts elsewhere (the fights could have honestly lasted mere minutes or long unseen hours, maybe even days, but that last one seems very unlikely even though that's a possibility for their people).

In the first season, Nolan explained to Mark that flying uses every muscles of his body. When Nolan stretches his arms forward, he uses more muscles, adds more strength and thus his flight speed is increased. When we watch viltrumites flying, it seems they can’t fully use their arms and go full speed at the same time, hence why they often have to slow down or be still in order to deal more powerful punches. They first use their legs to fly and then use their arms to go faster.

In the comic, Lucan chased Mark and Andressa similar to how Rodan chased the drone in King of the Monsters. Mark outsmarted Lucan and tried to fly them out of the caves and hide above the clouds but Lucan had tracked them and flew after them. Mark flew faster than he ever has before while asking Andressa how close he was getting. She told Mark he would be on them in moments. He was that fast compared to Mark. It got so bad Mark started *_begging for forgiveness_* to Adressa and his brother that he failed protecting them as Lucan quickly closed the distance. It was so close Lucan was just about to grab Mark's leg. But Nolan then divebombs from the sky out of nowhere and knocked Lucan out of the air. Since there were several questions about Viltrimite durability, I figured I'd answer, as someone who has read the comics. I'll attempt to avoid spoilers. Viltrimites are obviously very tough and can take a serious beating. They can be cut, but it tends to take very hardened materials to do so. While being damaged can mess up their ability to function, perhaps dealing with the pain a bit better than humans, injured Viltrimites can recover from just about any wound given enough time. The exception to this regeneration seems to be their heart for some reason. If a Viltrimite's heart is injured then they tend to die very soon afterwards. In addition, they can be quickly killed via decapitation, exsanguination, and asphyxiation. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

That story you told about the torso was very similar to what I witnessed before as well. I was on the highway to work and everything was slowed to a crawl caused the 5 lane highway was being choked into 1 lane for some reason. Took an hour longer to get through and when I finally got up to the scene, there was a coroner vehicle, an ambulance, a semi with a massive wet indent on its front grill and a bunch of white sheets scattered everywhere. As I went by a white sheet I could see a torso with its entrails hanging out and everything. The craziest part was the only body part that didn’t have a sheet covering was a foot. Dude had timbs. Still remember that day from 8 years ago.

at 29:35 i’m sure someone has said this before but usually you’re stronger the fatter you are(to a reasonable extent). because viltrumites have near limitless endurance and super strength i imagine being overweight might just be a complete net positive instead of causing loss of speed and cardio like for us.

As someone who hasn't seen Invincible yet, all I got from this video so far is: 1. Alteori is hilarious to listen to even without context. 2. Grasshopper humanoids have baby-making lips. No, I don't know how you make babies with your mouth, ask your parents. 3. Even if you have great bitties (youtube will censor my behind if I say it lol), please do not jump off an overpass. Sure, someone may appreciate seeing them, but you'll also traumatize everyone and as Sonic would say: That's...no good! So far Season 2 is setting up for all the craziness that's going to happen. Also his new life is a bit of a call back to his statement back in season 1. Just a very slight correction there regarding those stars at the beginning. Usually, the brightest ones are quasars, which were in fact galactic black holes that were feeding on stellar matter before a galaxy formed around them, and they were projecting beams out into space, those quasars are literally _billions_ of light years away, and they're some of the brightest (and oldest) things in the sky. And as for Donald's glasses surviving, that's a very good point, and i'm reminded of that scene from Superman vs the Elite where Manchester Black says "How is it that no matter how badly you massacre one of these Thong and Blanket types, some shred of their unmentionables somehow survives the blast?" right after one of his friends hits SM in the face with a force equel to 15 super-novae.
