I really enjoy this version. Its a much more relaxed, and smoother version in general. I like how he changed up his vocals when he sings the chorus, it really adds to the song.

Before Tomorrow Comes" I couldn't sleep I had to listen To a conscience knowing so well That nothing comes from indifference I look inside of myself Will I find some kind of conviction? Will I bid the hero farewell? Will I be defined by things that could have been? I guess time will only tell I guess time will only tell [Chorus:] So don't let it be Before tomorrow comes Before you turn away Take the hand in need Before tomorrow comes You could change everything I curse my worth and every comfort That blinded me for way too long Damn it all I'll make a difference from now on Cause I'm wide awake to it all Cause I'm wide awake to it all [Chorus] Does anyone care it ain't right what we're doing? Does anyone care it ain't right where we're going? Does anyone dare justify how we're living? Does anyone here care at all? [Chorus] We could be so much more than we are We could be so much more than we are We could be so much more than we are Oh this much I know

Mark is a very under rated guitarist. Really glad that Myles saw this.
@crisdepaula64612 жыл бұрын
In fact, on the contrary, MK is a guitarist who doesn't get the recognition he deserves. Mark realized this while MK was living with him at the beginning of AB.

You have to play different during live/acoustic to create more nuances. What's the point of singing in the exact way it sounds in the record? You can sit and play your CD instead if you do that

It is acoustic! He has to control his pitch and volume and stuff when singing a song like this in acoustic, because this song is normally sung higher and louder with electric instruments, and overlapping, etc. If you look up "Before Tomorrow Comes" live in Amsterdam on KZbin you'll notice how close he sounds to the album version, it's spot on.

His Chemistry/voice with Alter Bridge is FAR better than it is with Slash. He's trebly and nasally with Slash; MUCH richer with Alter Bridge.
@KnuckleWood9 жыл бұрын
+Scott Waszak i agreed, somehow i felt when myles is singing for slash the vocals and the guitar doesn't harmonic much as when myles is singing for AB
@Ozzy68 жыл бұрын
I think the nasal thing is just live from what I've seen of it. Doesn't sound as good but less impactful on the voice for touring.
@slappyjk8 жыл бұрын
Some songs for Slash I might agree with you but singing GnR songs, Myles Kennedy is better than Axl ever was, Axl could never sing many of the Alter Bridge songs, even before Axl blew out his voice, when he could sing.
@andreamarie13477 жыл бұрын
Ha ha ha I am no singer by far but even I know that Myles blows Axl out of the water!! You rock that just made my day. Watch November Rain by GNR live with Shannon Hoon from Blind Melon. LMFAO Shannon Hoon was burning that bitch up in a little town about 1 or 2 hours from my house. Axl found out he was blowing him away.That's how November Rain got on that album, JS I'm 45 I was around then (;
@ghettoman4277 жыл бұрын
Myles undeniably has much better technique for GNR songs but Axl has the "mad" that makes the GNR songs what they are. Myles doesn't have the "mad" and I'm glad he doesn't as I'm sure Slash and the guys from Alter Bridge are too.

Does anyone know the guitar tune of this version?
@sourcescience8 жыл бұрын
It looks like open D or DADGAD.
@drumkidstu8 жыл бұрын
no it is actually an altered drop Bb. You drop the whole guitar down a half step, then you lower the lowest string at that point ie Eb to Bb. so low to high is BbAbDbGbBbEb
@sourcescience8 жыл бұрын
Almost every tuning Tremonti uses is pointless. Drop D, or drop C would suffice for practically his entire catalogue.
@drumkidstu8 жыл бұрын
I have noticed this as well, however I enjoy the fact that he doesn't. He actually writes riffs for certain tunings. If you were to play isolation in drop d it would still be heavy but not nearly as much.

Except he has no reason to want to be like Cobain. He's actually a good singer and his band isn't full of drug addicts.
@keyboardgladiator804110 жыл бұрын
Tom S You know that Myles Kennedy smokes cigarettes, drinks alcohol and has tattoos. He's not that clean.
@oracle336610 жыл бұрын
Sofan Donovan So you're saying he's pretty much an average guy? Having tattoos doesn't mean anything. Drinking (not an alcoholic) doesn't mean anything. Cigarettes really aren't that big of a deal. Cobain and the rest of Nirvana did stuff that's actually illegal. And they were really not a good band in the first place.
@theandiller9 жыл бұрын
Sofan Donovan Myles would never ever smoke or drink alcohol. I don't know where you got these informations from but in my opinion you're kind of jealous because Kurt Cobain could have never had such effortless musicality like Myles does. Myles Kennedy sacrifices alot. He gives everything to be able to sing until his very last breath. He changed his nutrition, doesn't both drink and smoke since he started with Ron Anderson 18 years (!) ago! Tom S Cigarettes are a big deal.

bad micing technique from the engineer..
@igorluzvoz8 жыл бұрын
why?
@ewanofscotland8 жыл бұрын
the strings of the guitar oscillate with the most energy around the 12th fret when playing chords, which allows the microphone to pick up the best tonal quality from the guitar. When its positioned at the sound hole, it makes pick noise an issue also. plus if you listen to a guitar along the neck, it generally sounds tonally best between the sound hole and the 12th fret (if its a 14 neck joint) or the 10th fret (if its a 12 neck joint)
@igorluzvoz8 жыл бұрын
ewan matheson cool, i thought you was gonna say the best way to positionate a mic was after the bridge (that's what i thought) so the right way is like, near the 13th-16th fret?
