I will lose my mother to cancer within the next few days. This song was emotional to me before she was diagnosed with Type B Lymphoma last year...but now, it takes on a whole new meaning and the lyrics are even stronger. Being strong to me meant not showing emotion around my family, but I was wrong...I suppose being strong is showing my tears and letting them know the love I will always have for my mom. Me too and 5 yrs for me as well. My husband was shaving one minute and on his knees dead from a stroke the next. He was only 50 and it killed me to lose him so young. Lost my son's mother 10 years ago this year. Our son was 2yrs old when she passed away at the age of 21 messing with Heroin. A year later lost her dad at the age of 50 a week before Christmas from a sudden sickness that shut down his body. Then less than a year following those two, my Dad passed away in front of me from heart failure as I tried my best to resuscitate him but with no luck, I literally watched the life in my Dad's eyes disappear as they turned dark from no blood flow. I miss all three of them and this song always makes me shed a tear thinking of them. My son motherless but the strongest kid I've ever known and ever will know. I feel your pain. I lost my wife almost a year ago. She lost a long fought battle to addiction. She had 4 major cardiac arrests in the emergency room and I couldn't be there by her side. Not only did she die alone in the emergency room, but she died 5 minutes before I got to the hospital.

Today we said goodbye to a friend who was a great singer. Our Joe Cocker from the Dutch Polder. Always smiling, singing, making fun and a real people person.
