Poe's "I see you line" gets even creepier when you realise he's not talking about seeing with the eyes of his avatar. The entire building is in effect, his sleeve. He knows the location of every person and object down to the last millimetre within it's walls. Hiding behind that wall was as useless as a dead flashlight in the dark.

This is one of those changes from the books that I really love. In the books Takeshi uses this hotel called the Hendrix and it's an AI too, but he's just a disembodied voice that doesn't have a form or much of a personality. Poe is so full of life and fun and he's just badass. I love how they made him relevant to the story. He was just a really cool change that I think fits even better with the cyberpunk world from the books.

The change was legally necessary: Jimi's estate doesn't allow his likeness to be used for excessively violent projects like this.

One way or another, it made sense to flesh out the hotel character when turning the book into a whole season of TV show, but the guy that played Poe was one of the best parts of the production. Didn't even mind a bit when he showed up in the mishmash that was Season 2.

Poe's "I see you" is so creepy and perfectly timed that the first time I watched this scene I had to reverse it because I laughed through to the end. If I wasn't already sure at "full guest amenities" that Poe was my favorite supporting character, it was confirmed right then.

One argument I have heard and kind of agree with it, is that while not necessary healthy, for some people AI hotel's deep interest in you and their desire to meet your every need would be a feature, not a bug. There would be people who'd enjoy the attention and frankly in a world this full of treachery and deception, Poe is one of the more loyal and overtly helpful beings we encounter. If nothing else you know where you stand with them. Now do they go too far at times? Yes, definitely, but I'm not convinced that would deter everyone from staying in hotels like the Raven.

sigh the first thing you do when playing a boss scene on Shadworun games is cast quick and dodge so you can have more action turns to dodge around a cormer. Then you cast armor 3 and aim 3 so you can take our the turrets and other bots or guards. Sheesh Shadow runners these days. in this case the turrets and since you can't hurt po in the meat space you have to use your decker to hack in there and take him out in the matrix. Lol the thugs should have at least bring some Doc Wagon Gold revital packs with them.

Season 1 of this series is one of the best television shows I've ever seen. I watched and rewatched it and it's still amazing. The visuals, cast, story.... all perfect. Season 2 was ok, but not the same. It was sanitized, in a way. Yeah, the violence and brutality were still there, but not the erotic tension.... Wonder who had a problem with that! US viewers?😂😂😂 Always cracks me up how they love blood and gore, yet one bare tit....?😱😱😱 Shocking!

Season 1 is not really perfect. It's too over the top in pretty much everything Richard Morgan wrote with detail. Envoys are just a bunch of weirdos endoctrinated by Quellchrist Falconer Quell and Tak has some cheesy relationship, the entire final act is about Reileen Kawahara wanting Takeshi to be her brother again etc. It's because how shallow they just wrapped it up, they literally have nowhere to go from there. Onlything truly good in this show was Joel Kinnaman's portrayal of Takeshi Kovacs.

Especially when the girl charges at the turrets-front desk. Presumably to turn it off, or smash it etc.... Poe is in perpetual overwatch mode. .. They needed to get to cover and ready more spells or buffs and take out poe's turrets, while the others pin Takakeshi down...
