Yo this cast is sooo good. A new system, detective-style narrative, and filled with practically required lore and they handle it so easy. Xander especially is just such a smart player but really the whole cast just brought nothing but A game.

OMG I MUST PLAY THIS GAME!!!!!!! :) I have been a HUGE fan of Altered Carbon since the Netflix premiere and Have already read and re-read all three of the book Trilligy and have been looking about for an RPG capable of recreating this reality and have been playing Eclipse Phase since then and now I am already a total convert to your new Altered Carbon RPG since seeing this playthrough! :) By the way, your lineup of players in this playthrough is AWESOME!!!!!!! :) The calibre of players that I have always wished I could join also your GMing style is extremely original, engaging, and creative! :) If you decide to run a regular game I would LOVE to be allowed to join up! :)

Honestly most of the ideas shared by 'Altered Carbon' and 'Eclipse Phase' are older than both. John Varney was using them in his 'Eight Worlds' series, the first of which came out in 1977.

@@andrewrawlings5220 I mean AC is the main inspiration for EP, but what I'm confused about is why this RPG exists, when it doesn't provide anything unique or interesting, since it seems like a step backwards from EP both in terms of handling the theme and mechanically.

@@Eperogenay Because more people have heard of AC than EP, thanks to the Netflix series, and possibly because some people want to play pure AC without learning new Lore or without all the octopi, apes, and other additions EP makes. I mean you could just as easily ask why make a devoted Witcher RPG when D&D exists.

"A reverse Savage Worlds" exactly what I am wondering, why they did this? With Savage Worlds one could integrate it with other games, expansions, etc. They should have SW as a extech goal at least, and is the same mistake Eclipse Phase did creating their own system, like if we players want to learn a new system for every game is out there.

Shadowrun 6th was released last year and Interface Zero 3.0 had a very successful kickstarter.

@@RecklessFables Though, of what I've heard of Shadowrun 6th edition, I'm not touching it! Also not to forget to mention Cyberpunk Red might release this year too! And even if they exist already for some time, but The Veil and The Sprawl (with its supplements of making your own Shadowrun like world too)... man, these few years have been great!
