Altered Junk Mail Window Envelopes - Repurpose Junk Mail Envelopes - Process Video - Create With Me

Hi and Welcome! I'm Lily and in today's video I am going to alter and create a couple altered junk mail window envelopes by using paper scraps, scrapbook papers, vintage music paper, ink sprays, collage techniques and use ready made pre-made art fodder. Repurposing junk mail envelopes is one of my favorite thing to make.
Grab your supplies and let's create and craft together.
Here is a list of supplies you may need:
junk mail window envelopes
paper scraps (scrapbook paper, vintage music sheets, text paper)
die cuts or diy art fodder ( I used mixed media birds - link below)
ink sprays
word sticker ( I used Heidi Swapp word stickers)
carnival tickets (mine were avocado dyed)
mini heart punch outs
stapler
glue
scissors and or paper trimmer

Great video! I used this video to begin making a prayer journal. I’m putting my prayers on slips of paper in the different envelopes based on design. So far I have about 10 envelopes. These will fill up fast! So I’m looking for more mail😂😂😂. I also make paper beads. It’s amazing what I’ll do to keep from housework. TYFS.

I just started watching this video and so far see two time savers for you. Skip the first cut since you're cutting more off of the same place later and skip turning over the envelope to snip the two corners, it will work just fine from the front.

Really like your technique in doing these envelopes. I usually cover the entire envelope, but like you said and do, there really isn't any reason to do so. Always tricky doing around the window, too, but i like you leaving it alone. For the towel under your mist, have you thought of putting paper down on towel to absorb the paint ? One and done or could leave paper there for when you spray different colors. Then this paper can be used for ephemera.

Great question...a junk journal is basically a journal/diary made up mostly of found items, thrifted, old and or new things. But mainly a way to repurpose junky treasures into beautiful art for journals. Thank you for watching.

Hi and thank you so much for being here. These are also great in lieu of traditional greeting cards. You can use them to tuck in a sweet sentiment or note, gift cards or even cash. :) They can also be used to top off a wrapped present or paper clip to a gift bag, use in smash books or scrapbooks. Great for stocking stuffers and gift card carriers. :)
