Not necessary to read JL 50 and Superman #52. Definitely grab Rebirth #1.

That revelation at the end of Rebirth…. Holy! I can't believe DC would bring back such a classic comic book. I'm a little scared to see how they treat it, but that end….Dang! I'd like to hear what everybody else thinks about the whole new villain/presence.

Hey Marc and Josh- have you read Weirdworld #6 by Sam Humphries and Mike del Mundo? I highly recommend it. I cried so many times. The issue is sooooo emotional I can't believe it. The action was notched down to include a non-ending which was so heartwarming. Again, I highly recommend it.

Stay the course and give the writer time to tell his story.

I'm sick of people saying "this comic isn't new reader friendly". I started reading comics when everything was at issue #346 or whatever. The fun of comics is not knowing what's going on right away. I started reading comics having only seen the Superfriends and Spider-man and his amazing friends. (Yes, I'm old). I was like "Where's Firestar and Apache Chief?" "Who's Martian Manhunter and Scarlet Witch?" What happens is you learn as you go, and that's the fun of it. Rebooting from the beginning to "appeal to new readers" is what's killing comics in my opinion. Give the reader some credit. They aren't idiots. If they are intrigued by the art and story, they will seek out back issues and find out what they missed.

so...DC Rebirth; it's a one shot. do I need to know anything beforehand? i know u said that the first page says to read Justice League 50 and Superman 52, but is that all? Also Idk what the difference is between the new Batman #1 and Batman Rebirth #1. What's the difference? (same thing goes for superman).

If you're not reading Justice League or Superman, don't worry about those. Just pick up Rebirth #1 and jump right in.
