@@GrindingChicken"rapid industrialisation" simply doesn't exist in the form you have in your head. it takes enterprise or private firms to industrialise somewhere, so why would they choose the politically unstable italy compared to france or great britain or the USA? And if you say the government industrialises they would go into massive debts, as is happening to modern countries, how are they supposed to fund the logistics, construction and labour of thousands of new factories and go on to fight wars with the biggest military powers? If you could simply understand even the simplest of economic theory you may understand italy peaked 2000 years ago.

Really interested to see how that would work Video is pretty realistic, I could see Italy pulling most of that off if they industrialized properly, had half decent leaders and didn’t screw over southern areas (which you showed all of) They definitely would have lost WW2 though, Russia starting without Eastern Europe, France and the UK having been through civil war, and Germany being MUCH stronger and not led by rather incompetent genocidal maniacs would kinda cook the Entente. Giusto un paio di cose avrei accennato/modificato: il fatto che mussolini non abbia avuto successo in politica, perché a prescindere da come sarebbe andata, Mussolini sarebbe entrato in politica e Berlusconi, Conti, Renzi e Draghi probabilmente non sarebbero stati eletti (soprattutto Berlusconi, per quanto carismatico, e Renzi)
