turns out Corvus was always a deep one, the accident that left him scarred in our universe was when his transformation from deep one to human (to blend in of course) went wrong. In this universe he never had to undergo the procedure. Since Arkham is in Alabama the locals just assumed his mother and sister were the same person.

I’m from mobile Alabama and you sound exactly like the dentist I went to for my entire childhood. I'm not familiar with Corvus but I will mention something about the multiverse. According to string theory research, there could be up to 10^500 different universes with each one having completely different laws of physics which might mean universes where there are additional forces or fewer forces or where the EM, Weak, and the strong nuclear forces don't exist at all. And there would be universes taking on different values for the mass, charge, spin of particles. And there would be many universes in which matter doesn't exist at all. And by the way 10^500 universes is much much larger than a googol. A googol is 10^100. And 10^500 is a 1 followed by 500 zeroes which I will not be writing out.

Also, if time is assumed to be endless, while matter is not, all possible constellations of particles would exist at some point, which means that in some distant future and/or past, there could be a world in which Corvus would watch ASMR videos about us.

Also, there's this idea of an eternally recurrent universe in which our own universe could reset itself far into the future and we'd be forced to relive this exact life over and over again, ad infinitum, and by "far into the future" I mean at least one Googleplex years into the future. That's 10^10^100 years which is truly an unfathomably gargantuan number. If you could visualize how large that number is, your brain would literally collapse and form a black hole. In fact, I believe there are about 10^80 particles in the observable universe so a googolplex is SO LARGE that you can't write it out in full form (1000000...) in that format. You have to write it in exponentiated form because there's not enough room in the universe to write out that number in full form.

I'd love to see sources on this. Perhaps there are other universes with laws separate to ours, but as it stands, the many-worlds hypothesis only says that a particle's wave-function doesn't collapse when it is measured, and only that our measurement affects which perception we experience, so there are simply other "worlds" where our experience was a different random one following the function of the particle. The laws of physics themselves remain the same, only the effects of those laws are split into other "worlds" because we cannot perceive every outcome at once.

It's basically the idea that you, me, everyone has infinitely many copies in an infinite number of parallel universes and within each one we could be living a slightly different life. Rather, I think there could be separate universes where there are universes that have different laws of physics in the same way that there's a lot of planets in the universe that have different conditions that are not suitable for our form of life. We happen to find ourselves in a universe such that the laws of physics is conducive for our form of life otherwise we couldn't be here.

Ahh, it’s possible the only difference between this universe and the based universe could be where Corvus was born, instead of somewhere near/in Europe, this one was located in Alabama. The difference of appearance could have resulted from the location and geological incidences that are different in each location (i.e. Radioactive waste vs the plague).
