I think you’re thinking too hard about the Bendis and Kitty Pryde thing. At least, when he paired Kitty with Peter Parker. I think Bendis based Kitty and Peter’s relationship off of a real relationship he had as a kid, because he went to an all boys private school, where the only way to date girls was to date outside of his school. It is potentially autobiographical, but I don’t think it’s a self insert. The Kitty and Kong relationship is a little more of a red flag tho hahaha.

Magento and Rogue in the Apocalypse storyline where Sabre Tooth was the good guy and part of the X Men with Magneto leading them. Rogue was his wife, they had a child named Xavier. One of the best alternative storylines ever to come out for Marvel.

If you're questioning the lineage of ultimate Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, the answer could very probably be both. There is an actual medical conditioning where a set of twins can have two fathers. Which is actually what happened in the original tale of Heracles, where Zeus snuck in and slept with Hercules's mother, disguised as her husband, finished, and disappeared. And about an hour later, the real husband came back from war and slept with her.

I thought Marvel Adventures: The Avengers was going to pair up Spider-Man and Giant Girl (the MA:A version of Janet) until they introduced MA:A Hank Pym, who is probably the only version of Hank to not become a wife beater because nobody can get over one artist's blunder!
