I sponsored a puppy for a Christmas present for a friend during COVID. He was called sprout, and went on to be a buddy for a little girl. Both me and my friend were so pleased as we both work with children. I now sponsor albums, well-done to everyone.😊😊😊

We have a dog at my school who is I believe owned by a teacher and is like a therapy dog. It’s a dog that you can just go up and cuddle and pat and it makes your day so much better

At my school we have a reading class where we read to a dog who is our reading buddy. My reading buddy was Lucy who passed away about 6 years ago now and I will always be thankful for her. For the longest time I was extremely bad at reading and talking because I was so shy and I can remember after about a year reading to Lucy both my speech and reading skills had improved. I’m a senior now and I could have very well continued to struggle if it wasn’t for Lucy. She didn’t make it through her guide dog training but she still went on to help and be extremely impactful in both my life and other kids liked and I am so grateful you give the other dogs a chance to help others even if it’s not as a guide dog. LOVE YOU LUCY❤️

Amazing! My puppy is from a different UK assistance dog program, which is not an ADUK charity! It's really nice what program dogs are getting up to and how the training differs!

Thank you for a really interesting video. My previous sponsored dog, wasn't assessed as being suitable as a guide dog but became a much needed & loved Buddy dog. I'm so proud of him. My mum's previously sponsored dog, Ginger, was re-homed with a loving family. Fingers crossed for Albus, Grace & Theo😊

My Lions Foundation Dog Guide Canada foster from a May 2018 litter (Gertie x Tommy) was disqualified from a service dog career due to the development of elbow dysplasia. He had the surgical correction and we adopted him as a member of our family. Covid pandemic forestalled our efforts to find enriching activities. However, Magnus and I discovered the Pet Partners "Therapy Dog Handler" and Team certification program and will be serving the community in school reading programs, but most importantly in cancer treatment centres in the U.S. and Canada in 2024. Magnus' sire, Tommy was an English import from "Guide Dogs for the Blind, UK.'

I previously sponsored Lola, who unfortunately wasn't suited for the guide or buddy dogs scheme. Are you able to tell me what happened to her? Thanks
