Hi Marilyn and great video! Love seeing the alternatives. I didn't have an issue when I used my transfer tape with the card stock and I know why. Yours is MUCH tackier than what I got from Amazon. If it wasn't, I would of had the same issue. I get concerned to about my videos being too long especially in this fast time we're living in. What I try to keep in mind is that there are probably two types of watchers. Those who want those details and those who don't. So, when necessary, I started adding timecodes for those who want to jump to a specific point. Have an amazing week! Tracey
@MakingwithMarilyn2 жыл бұрын
I would love to get some less tacky hotfix tape. Do you know what brand yours is? Yes, it is difficult to ride that fine line between giving enough details to help and not running off people who don't care about the details:) Adding a time line is a great idea!

Hi Marilyn. I'm just getting started with doing rhinestones. Didn't want to mess with flock right now, just scattering stones and pressing on sweatshirts and some of my bags. I was catching up on my Saturday YT binge and I saw lady print boss mentioned using card stock rhinestone template. In the past I’ve used adhesive magnet sheets which work well so long as you can get a good cut. Another option is using faux suede sheets - Cricut brand works well. Instead of using spray adhesive, I got the idea to reuse old cutting mats which can present a challenge because you have to make sure your hot fix tape is it gonna come in contact with the adhesive. Cool workaround for that is to use your scrap pieces of faux suede/leather around the border. Since not all rhinestone designs or rhinestones are sized correctly, you can run into the issue with stones sticking to the adhesive on the mats when placing hot fix tape and applying pressure to be sure the stones stick to the tape.
@MakingwithMarilyn2 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for all of your suggestions!!! I've never tried the Manet sheets, but may have to give them a try.

@MakingwithMarilyn2 жыл бұрын
I only use flatpack rhinestones occasionally when I make a bling cup. If you want to make shirts and things like that, then you would use hotfix stones. I buy them from The Baby's Booty when she has a buy in each month. thebabysbooty.store/products/ But if you really do mean fallbacks, I have to put glue down, pick up the stones with a picker tool, and then push it down into the glue.
