Maybe if you're always buying verte, but blanche absinthe can be gotten pretty cheap. It doesn't have the signature green color, and is considered lower grade, but I actually prefer it, as the anise flavor is stronger and you don't get the grassy clorophyll flavor.

Here's a cool fun fact for you. Besides the fact that Andrew Ryan and Mister House have the same inspiration, Robert Hughes, their voice actors worked together on Star Trek Deep Space 9, Quark and Odo, respectively. Also, there's some other Star Trek actors on the game. Worf voices Marcus, the mutant, since Fallout 2, and if I'm not mistaken, Wesley voices the Protectrons. Cool thing to note about the Goodsprings loop is that if you don’t leave the town and continue the game before you max out your levels. When the game prompts you to decide whether or not you want to respec before going on, if you say yes the game will instantly put you back at level 1 while also giving you all the Xp needed to be level 50. This means you can pick all of your leveled perks again. Not only that, but any perks that you placed that are acceptable after level 2 remain on your character even after you respec. So you can have more perks than the game normally allows, including having two of the level 50 perks at the same time. Just be careful with your traits. If you choose the skilled trait when respecing you will only reset to around level 43 because of debuff to xp gain.

Grinding all the way to 50 takes hours though. I'll use it to get to 15, 20, maybe 30, but higher than that isn't worth it. You can take Skilled twice too for +10 to every skill.

For those who don't know, if you do the infinite xp glitch before leaving Goodsprings for the first time, you can get up to an additional 25 perks (level 50). As you level up, choose perks that do not add to skill points or SPECIAL stats (such as jury rigging, explorer, rapid reload, comprehension, etc.) then when you are ready, leave Goodsprings. The game will ask you if you want to change your character before you leave, to which you must do. The game will redistribute your SPECIAL, skill points, and let you choose new perks up to the level you were when you left. You will get to pick new perks and you will still have any perk that you took previously that does not effect your skill points or SPECIAL stats.
