"I get the gist"and "I get your drift" , two new expressions to replace understand, feels so good to lear new ways to say "understand", and the formal ones are very good, straight and clear!!! Thanks for sharing this useful material

I want to know how to use the word 'though' especially at the end of a sentence. I often hear people add the word 'though' at the end of his statement. What does it imply? please explain it if you don't mind. Thank you so much.

wondering if only English has this many kind of "de facto" classifications: casual/neutral/formal, or even professional (!?) The latter is the most confusing to me 🤔

Good question. Most languages will have different 'registers' or styles of speaking based on the situation. These changes allow us to show various levels of closeness and respect.
