you can jack the vehicle up, remove the 2 big 18mm head bolts from the right side of the cradle.. block the ride side of the body, behind the cradle & then let your jack down.. the body will contact your blocks or jack stand & then lower the cradle on the roght side another 3-4 inches... no need to loosen or remove anything else except maybe the RF tire, if you're needing space to get to the tensioner

This video gives me the confidence that I can do it. How far can I drop the engine cradle with the front wheels up on ramps (not jacked up), or do the wheels/axles need to be hanging to get the most engine travel? Also, it looks like a stubby 15mm wrench can do that rear bolt behind the alternator. I've already loosened it without dropping engine.

One more question: what do you think about upgrading to the 120A version from 105A to assist a tired collection of components that are now drawing additional current? 120A is actually cheaper.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO MOVE THE ENGINE TO DO THIS JOB!! You can rock the alternater on the side bolt to remove that back left bolt. The hardest part of this job is that dang wiper motor & arm system!! 😅😅

as you can see, I did not remove the wiper motor assembly.. just lowered the cradle about 3"

It's not as bad as you say.. I think the Cadillac V8 is worse.. up front & underneath
