She is sounding great !!! I put a single wire GM alternator in my 62 Comet. Easiest thing ever. I did a vid on it was a few years ago.

That alty might just need to be excited, on the back there should be a D-shaped hole, inside is a metal tab. Ground the tab to the case with a little screwdriver and it just might start charging! BOOM BABY!

Oh interesting I didn’t know that. Thank you for the tip brother! I’ll definitely have to try that. I’m not that good with alternators so I don’t know if it’s bad or hooked up the wrong way so I’ll definitely try your tip.

Sometimes those 1 wire alternators need a certain rpm to start charging

Getting closer. I would definitely check the wiring. Your auto parts store might be able to bench test the alternator for you

ive got to the point where i just use 1 wire alternators. Really simplifies things

@EYE_SPIDER if it's 1 wire(internally regulated, it would usually just be 1 wire to the starter solenoid or battery. Usually, it would require at least an 8 Awg wire, too.
