Hi, I know we’re not DissociaDID but the way our system tends to deal with headaches tends to vary between who’s fronting, but typically we will try some paracetamol and Codeine (or migraleve depending on whether it’s made us feel nauseous or not) and try to find a dark space, some ear defenders and sunglasses also tend to help if we can’t find a dark space, as the sunglasses help block out light and the ear defenders help block out outside noise until the headache either passes or lessens enough that we can focus again. Hope this helps.

I recently found out (only a few days ago) that the bullying I went through from at least 7 years old to 13 years old was actually trauma. I knew it had an overwhelming impact on my life, and made me the way I am now - but I never considered that an experience that I viewed as nowhere near as traumatizing than other people's experiences.. could ever be seen as trauma. Now that I know that it really is trauma, some things make a lot more sense now, and I desperately hope I can get the diagnoses I need once I turn 18 as I'm still a minor. What those children said to me broke me as a person. The way they treated me was shitty. I don't even remember most of the shit they said to me - whether that's natural forgetting, or repressed memories. But I know they fucked me, us, whatever we are, up so badly that we're having to try and heal all by ourselves. The education system is a joke. Don't EVER be afraid to speak up about bullying. It's *not* your fault, it's *NEVER* your fault. Do not blame yourself for others' choices and experiences. Their life is not your life. You *deserve* all the god damn love and respect and support in the world, and I see *and* hear you. You're not alone.

It's been an interesting experience to learn about D.I.D and what life is like living so many different alters. Personally, I never really knew much about it until sometime in early October of last year when I met one of my now closest friends. I remember the first time they told me about Alters and being very perplexed by the word and not really knowing what it meant until they opened up about it and showed me the Doc they have listing each one in their System. Think it was a couple months or three afterward that I discovered this channel because I've been wanting to be more understanding of D.I.D (from both the channel and my friend telling me their experiences of living with their System and sharing some rather humorous anecdotes on what goes on in their from time to time) and supportive of my friend. In the time since then, I've actually come to dating one of their alters for the past couple of months (Started dating mid-December), and just out of general curiosity, is it perhaps viewed as....kind of weird to be dating an alter? It's more my curiosity and self-conscience gnawing at the question because I didn't even tell either of my parents until very recently to my dad and he seemed fine with it. Ultimately, I'm just curious if anyone else has been in a relationship with an Alter from a system. Interested in hearing if others have had a similar experience. P.S. Love the videos you guys put up on here. It's really helped further my understanding of D.I.D and how to be much more supportive of them and their System as a whole.

Dating an alter is not weird at all. It must be more difficult than dating a singleton but it is no less valid. Don't be ashamed of loving anyone, for any reason. Love is love. Glad you have found this channel too! I discovered it a few days ago and have since binged every video they have up still. I love this system and their positive and educational messages they post on this channel. Mid october 2020 he fused with another alter, and thus “is gone”. because i didn’t want to make the new alter feel pressured by having to be like the boy i used to love, we never really talked again. was that the right decision? I’m really sorry about just popping in, but since he fused i don’t know wether i did the right thing or not.

@@Selenny As I said before, I have no qualifications to judge other peoples relationships, especially because I am not an alter and don’t know any. However, I can offer my opinion if you’d like. I would think that this issue varies widely depending on the situation, so the new fused alter may or may not still feel those feelings one of their predecessors did. I think that the best route would be to ask them directly “what will happen to our relationship?” because if they are still in love with you it would be a shame to ghost them, but, as you said, if they no longer are in love with you then you wouldn’t want to pressure them. Sorry I cannot give you a definitive answer, but I don’t think there is one. Although it seems like this was a really long time ago, if you aren’t in contact anymore you have nothing to lose by reaching out to them and asking if they want to hang out again. If they say yes then you will have regained a friend with a romance possibility, and if they say no then you will have some closure and can start to move on. I hope this was somewhat helpful! I have a question that no one has been able to answer or give directions where to find the answer. You seem to be one very knowledgeable source. My ex-wife was diagnosed with DID many years ag. Her Dr has left and now she just has a ARNP. In the past 3 yrs we have realized she is showing all the signs of early onset dementia. What I am trying to figure out is if Pam has dementia does everyone in the system have it? I stumped Dr.Bear with this question . This is important for safety as she is in a group home nursing facility and her inner kids are acting out alot more...I volunteered to try and find answers: Thank you for taking time to read this and hopefully you can recommend books, vid links, other creators...anything. I'm not sure if I'm late, but here's the answer: Yes, Dementia is a Neuro Degenerative Disorder and it could be related to brain damage. If your brain has developed something as severe as Alzheimer's disease, then the brain is deteriorating itself. We've seen for instance, healthy bodies that with a personality up front that has a dysfunction like blindness or a speech disorder can, in a way, modify the body's capacity to react to images or to emulate stuttering or repetition of sounds. So in this case, with dementia your body is ill, and you're most likely to see the symptoms in all of your wife's personalities. The best you can do is to sit down with them and try to look for any symptoms of dementia. Or just go with a specialist. I hope this is helpful!

My trans big sister told me they have DID last week. I've asked questions but having just discovered your channel, I'm curious what you would consider a "gold standard" friend to be in the way that friend communicates with the host(?) We've agreed on some stuff like asking who is in front(?) when chatting on discord, but is there anything that a non-sufferer(?) wouldn't think of that you wish we would consider? Anything with a (?) after it is where I'm unsure if it's the best terminology to use for the situation. English feels woefully under-equipped to deal with DID.

If by non sufferer you mean a non system, the correct terminology would be a singlet, I think! (I’m not a system, but I’ve got a lot of friends who are parts of systems, and that’s the terminology they’ve used!) Hope that helps!

Hi. My friend has DID but I see that other people have very good relationships with their alters but my friend doesn't. They almost never interact with each other and they only do if something terrible hapoens. His alter is named Axel and I'm concerned he might hurt my friend or his loved ones. Axel is always mad and he often tells my friend to isolate and push everyone away and has said some hurtful things to me, but I know is not my friend who's saying all those things so I don't let it get to me. I don't know if I should advice him to try and have a better relationship with Axel oranything else. I don't know what to do. If any one could help me, I would be very greatful!

No, the body's legal name is still Chloe Wilkinson. Kyle talked about that in a live stream where he explained that no one has sole ownership of the body so it doesn't make much sense to change the name to any one alter's name. Especially since their host seems to integrate often nowadays.
