My today videos is about Altit Fort. Altit fort is one of the best tourist spots in Hunza Valley, located in Al-Teit town of Hunza district. This Altit fort was originally the home of the then rulers of Hunza who were known as the Mirs of hunza. Silk Road caravans used to pass through Hunza in ancient times. The villages of Ganesh, Aliabad and Karim Abad were settled around 2400-2500 years ago, as the famous Silk Road passed through this valley. The fort was built above the village at a height of 7600 feet above the sea level, to keep an eye on the caravans passing over the fort and the entire area. There is a valley on one side of the fort and the river below on the other side. The location of the fort was such that any attacker could be prevented from entering it. Secondly, the fort also served as a commercial center for the city, where traders from all over the world traveled along the famous Silk Road to bring their goods. So Lets know about altit fort
