Thank you, i usually select the component and use the command "Align to the Grid". One tip, in the panel "PCB Rules and Violations" you can run directly only one rule by selecting it, right click "Run DRC Rule Class(..).".

Great video! Yes the pin problem was noticed here after some strange errors and i found out that in my schematic i used pin 0 and 1 (programmers thing? 🙈🙈😂) and the footprint uses pads 1 and 2. I learn a lot because of Robert, very happy with your video’s!

Regarding the off-grid problem, everything starts from that historical imperial unit. It should have been replaced with metric long time ago ;-)

I have just also looked the wohle pcb form this schematic. I noticed that there are differential pair Con-USB_N/P. the layout is just two layers. Belows the differential pair Con-USB_N/P , there is no complete GND, even there are slots . is that right?

Great video Robert, why when you place a resistor, diode or p-channel mosfet after VCC altium says " VCC has only 1 pin " ? VCC>-------------/\/\/---------- another components. if you add 2 resistors in parallel after VCC the warning is not shown.

Hey m8, I would like to comment something. Why don't you just enable inside Clearance rules the box "Ignore Pad to Pad clearances withing a footprint" ?

It depends what your goal is. For example, if you need to be sure a PCB manufacturer with specific manufacturing capabilities needs to be able to manufacture your PCB, you may need to know about all the critical places on your PCB (including between pads) and fix the problem. "Ignore" doesn't fix problems, it only hides them (but there can be rules where it could be useful).
