Altium is nice, in the past you were beta tester when they released new stuff. With the addition of the constraint manager we all got promoted to alpha testers. Paired with the new license models and 10GB storage limit for Pro workspaces, it is a real bliss to use the best in class software. Keep up the good work, you are killing it 😊

hey I saw the final design of the circuit it looks perfect, but I have a question, Can a 3d artist use this application to design a circuit for his 3d model version of design? does 3d artist needs some knowledge about circuit's engineering? currently artists are using adobe illustrator to design circuit and its very frustrating to create

What is the current way to reach the development team to send bug reports? The existing links to the forums don't work, and the forum itself doesn't exist anymore.

Forum exists... I'm on it every day. As to Constraint manager - well... What's interesting is that Altium added/went to a constraint manager since it appears they were trying to woo OrCAD users. Well guess what? OrCAD now has a rules panel in OrCAD X 24.1 . I also use OrCAD. Constraint Managers - either tool - suck. My OrCAD clients are really jealous of Altium's graphical schematic directives that pushes rules to the PCB. Constraint Managers - what a silly, totally-detached-from-the-schematic way of doing things.... The advantages of using directives are: 1. You get a graphical representation on the net that shows there's something going on with that connection 2. It allows you to concentrate on the schematic - the design intent - without having to shift gears and now be like an accountant in a spreadsheet. 3. You don't have to name every simple 2 pin net so that you can find it in a table that can get unwieldy in a large design with hundreds - if not thousands - of entries. Searching spreadsheets is again a distraction from the design intent. See studio.kzbin.infoe0TbP7Y2PgQ/edit 4. Design reuse. The directives - with their rules - follow the circuitry. Even when copying into a new project and all the part reference designators change, the rules follow the design intent. See studio.kzbin.infobCOmSvY1jFM/edit Now if Altium's Constraint Manager acted like a spreadsheet front end for directives - sort of a "Directives Rule Manager" I'd consider it. But anyone that has to use OrCAD after using Altium will agree - a Constraint Manager leaves much to be desired.
