I replaced the tweeter but the highs still sound distorted. The lead vocals on songs are still hard to hear and sound “canned”. What else could it be?

anyone have a clue what can be used as a replacement tweeter for the TX215 Alto of do I just trash the speaker?
@DocCover2 жыл бұрын
The "Alto Professional Neo Driver HG00602“ should work for the 215.

@@DocCover thanks for that info. I saw a video where they used a JBL 2408H for a replacement in a Alto TS315 but the 315 is a higher rated speaker, so I didnt think that would work in mine.

What if you replace it with a different tweeter, do you have to still use the heat sink?
@DocCover3 жыл бұрын
It depends on the replacement tweeter. The heat sink is there to keep the speaker from overheating. Is it nessasery for low to moderate use, ehh kinda. But if you are hammering the speaker yes, get a heatsink on it.

Hi! Nice video! Just wondering : 1) how did you blew the tweeter? Did it had anything to do with the back tape you had on the gain/volume knob? and 2) Why didn't you install a better tweeter? Aren't you afraid to blow the next tweeter as well? Cheers!
@DocCover5 жыл бұрын
The black tape was more of a precaution to keep the less technical people from bumping the knob into the mic side of things amd blowimg the woofer. As for how did it blow. Im thinking 5 years of full blast drum triggers, backtracks, keyboards and, vocals killed it. I decided to go with a oem style tweeter just because this is for rehearsals. The ts212 dose the job just fine. Now if this was my main way to get my message to the audience I would rather trade the speakers for a higher quality ones. But saying that I'm pretty confident that the Amazon tweeter will last since it is from alto. If he dies, he dies.
