What a bullshit scoring system. These combatants train their arses off every week to be the best they can be and then go to tournament to put their skills to the test and even though it's not on a round by round basis; the flow of combat is constantly interrupted, the people scoring it mark one technique higher than another and frequently ignore connecting techniques while other flashier techniques get all the high marks despite barely making contact at all. How can this be when even downward blocks are supposed to be leg breaking techniques? In my book that's a finishing move right there. Why should a light face punch, or slap in this case, score higher? For this clip although I'd say the right result was given - Brown was floored and his techniques didn't connect as clearly - it wasn't the victor that was dominant all the way through and many punches from the loser were ignored. I can only imagine that a large percentage of those who go to tournament in this way are seldom satisfied that the scoring has been reflective of the performances given. When are competitive martial arts bodies going to do right by to those who strive to keep these arts going, and modify their approach to competition?

seriously i dont know what the refs are looking for these days, first exchange was the most solid 2 gyaks of the match yet no points awarded wither side, the first point to the head by aka missed by a mile at full extension yet the refs awarded the point. Totally inexperienced refs, or they just paying out the tickets to booster their numbers. Either way, sucks when you get this level of refereeing in any match.
