once autumn starts, I find myself coming back to this video a lot. My trips to Alton Towers were normally in October for Scarefest, so Alton Towers is very much a autumn thing for me, with Toyland Tours being my favourite ride, I loved the floating feeling as you went around. So sad its no longer around. I really hope they bring it back with upgrades and improvements. It'd get so much attention

This ride was my childhood. Along with its retheme Charlie, I grew up with this ride when I went for my first rides in 2005 and then my first ride on Charlie in 2006 (opening year). So many memories came flooding back watching this ride footage

And they had the audacity to replace it with a weak Charlie and the Chocolate factory ride. That barely survived a few years and is now some dungeons experience that you have to pay extra for. Downgrade after downgrade!

I remember going on this when I was very little and I was terrified, One thing I remember very clearly is the teddybears and how freaked out I was by them. Although I wish it was still running, it'd be interesting to ride it again now that I'm older.

Katelin The same happened to me on Pirate Adventure at Drayton Manor. I rode it once when I was very young but never rode it again. It terrified me! When it closed I was gutted I never tried it again!

went on this ride the same year it opened pretty good memories even though i was just 4 at the time, really enjoyed it especially the sonic room, it was actually the only time coincidently i ever went to alton towers i wish i would have seen it again a couple of times prior to closing.

I remember this was the only ride I could get my mum to go on...I remember we used to stay on the ride and go round more than once if the operator would let us... Its a shame we can never ride it again.

That sonic articulated statue was most likely destroyed or put in storage.the spinball sonic statue was a new design of modern sonic

No, I believe the sonic statue is with the Toyland tours remains in storage or scrapped, a new sonic statue was put outside of sonic spinball and is now outside magic HQ since sonic spinball closed

Rosy it is unlikely the toyland tours sonic statue is in storage, the remains of toyland tours appear to be a few walls with patterns on them, but u never know

No it opened in 94, same year as nemesis and closed in 2005 mid season so it lasted 11. Was a great ride rode it many times.

Genuinely I think it was a catastrophe they replaced this with Charlie and the chocolate factory. The new ride was completely soulless and lacking in character. I’d love it if Alton Towers restored the original ride just as it was with sonic and the dancing hippo right at the end! Make it happen! Anything is possible!
