This was by far the best pitch in Shark Tank. Especially the presentation, they didn’t start with a dramatic intro & actually explained every single feature of the product along with its future aspects. And their counter offer of 7% when they saw Aman & Namita teaming up was just brilliant.

It's a noble idea detecting the accident and sending quick notifying alerts to the emergency contacts. This concept will definitely bring a change in people's riding behaviour with day-wise data tracking. I have become emotional when the Altor team said they have lost their friend in a bike accident. Because even I have lost my 4 friends and my eldest brother in a car accident 10 years ago. At that moment I felt why can't there be such smart devices which can alert the driving individuals to drive safely and stay alert on roads. I can genuinely relate to the biggest problem which is road accidents. I wish Team Altor will bring a revolution with their meaningful and life saving innovative concept in India. And appreciate Shark Tanks entrepreneurs for encouraging India's young and dynamic talent.

I've an idea here, which could be game changing. In cases where the emergency contacts can be located 100s of KMs away; it would be better idea to push notification to other nearby users with their permission(which can be set as default in the app). That way it may be possible to find help sooner. They can also gamify that concept, that the helper will get points for this and can rise the leaderboard. Their only real completion is the Apple Watch, or upcoming such devices.

They did the right thing choosing Aman helmet can definitely be the new smart wearable for bikers and namita could bring the customer base... Their USP was that their helmet was smart If they focussed on the tech now, then their tech could've become so advanced that it would've taken the other companies ages to play the catch up and Altor could've made a monopoly.... Aman's BOAT made it's way even becoz of JBL, sony etc becoz of all celebs as brand ambassadors (which created trust), the beautiful design and the price (most important.... JBL and Sony are too expensive) Selling the helmet at 2k and making more money through a strong tech subscription would've taken this company to a next level

Everything is perfect. Just one thing I'd like to say sharks don't really know what the prices of helmets are in the market these days. 😅 500 sir, 500 ki to aajkl achi cap bhi nahi aati 😂. Normal we are already paying 2k-3k for a good quality helmet so i wouldn't mind getting the smart helmet for 5k. It'll be just like one time investment baki mostly depends on how you take care of it just like your phone.

If the deal is not done then they are also satisfied with the other 3 experts for 10% of the equity or maybe they will bargain it to 9% lowest with Anupam's team. **

I use LS2 helmets and i am so lucky to have those . I met with an accident 2 years ago and still i remember i lost my senses for some minutes and i just don't remember what happened to me.. when I opened all the passing then i found out that the impact was so high that it broke the inner padding of the helmet. I just hope the built quality will be at par with LS2 or equivalent companies because technology might fail but the very basic design of helmet will save the person

After watching this, what I found out similar is that there is a south movie "Premam" where the actor makes a device or an app which gives an emergency alert when accident occurs. @@kamalyashwanthg6732 as these guys mentioned initially in their pitch, that their intention is to build solutions and won't be confined for manufacting helmets, if core value of the business is finding a solution for accidents, then the next big step would be immediate hospitalisation, direct call to 100/101 emergency Services etc. Farma expertise would be more helpful, evening for scaling the business to the Indian Medical Emergency requirements. So the choice was correct.

Just perfect pitch for a perfect product. I liked when they said "we are a tech company". Namita's pharma background and BOAT's expertise is the perfect combination. They need to get in touch with mobike companies. And through a Road Safety policy, make it compulsory for all bikers. The cost can be absorbed by the manufacturers. Insurance companies will be thrilled to ensure this. I foresee users paying around 2 to 2.5k if things fall into place. Way to go, Altor!

I think 5k for a smart helmet that can save ur life and provide lots of features was very reasonable, ppl buy smart watches for 6-12k, Apple smart watches cost arround 20-50k but we r hesitant on buying a user friendly life saving smart helmet ? Wow Typical indian mentality. A typical biker spends more than 2lakhs on his bike + His riding outfit and protection gears Even the gloves cost around 1500-2500 to tour on long trips, he cant spend 5-10k on a life saving smart helmet? A helmet is the most important gear for a rider !! Typical indian mentality

So people don't generally feel connected to the product unless (someone personally has gone through the pain of losing a loved one)

But the person who own smart watches are really low in India.. Majority are from medium or low economy status... And mostly the bike owners come from middle or low class... So for them it ll be easier to but if they cut the price.. You have to think every perspective if u have to do business in long run.. How many indians yu think go on trekking or trips in comparison to people whose regular life depends on travelling by bike.. Evry perspective matters

They should provide technology. Here in india still so many people tends to buy the helmet according to their budget not for safety. There are so many helmet companies in the market some international players too which provide rider to rider connectivity and calling feature. But they are very expensive.This tech is different from them. If they can customize this tech in any of the helmets in market at an affordable price.Then it would be game changer for them.
