Concerning polyethylen insulation.. it's 100% true what he's saying. We stayed in 40°C hot greek summer and headed with the roof of the tent directly towards the sun. We took a nap inside easily, no heating up.

I have had a pop up All-cab for +5 years and my main problem is that the width does not allow for two reasonably sized adults to be comfortable. Adding on another 200mm would just make that difference and would not exceed the width of my vehicle. The old style canvas tents at 1,4M had ample space to be comfortable. Please don’t get me wrong I am an Alu-cab fan and Have had many great trips with my grandchild but now he is 19 it s slightly crowded!!

Are there any locking mounts available to ensure safety if the tent is left on at all times?
@rayzar67203 жыл бұрын
I just went and had a look at the #3 on display. Its a very nice RTT. As for my question about the bungy being a snag point on the sides, its was simply a matter of stretching the bungy over the little tabs on the lid where the catches latch as you open it, problem solved. My dealer did mention that he'd wish you'd make the side track rails full length for an extra 3rd mount bracket. Overall I like this tent and the wife said she was happy with the matress. Jeremy if you read this we have our perth 4wd show coming up in march next month Western Australia. Can you ring your distributor and have a display at this please and please can you offer a package deal with the tent and 270 degree shade awning if purchased together. Much appreciate if you would consider this mate.

we just got a alu cab roof top tent fitted to our jeep and its got a really loud high pitched whistle now once we go over 40km any tips on how to stop the whistling?
@alu_cab Жыл бұрын
Hi there! You can try to put foam between the bottom of the tent and the Load Bars (or bars that you are using for fitment) or you can look into investing in a wind fairing.
@gzahnd3 жыл бұрын
I love the design of your tents, but without a quick-release option, it’s a nonstarter for me. I’d love to see a quick-release option for Front Runner racks, like they make for Baroud and others.

I’m confused, from the video the tent looks far too short to have an adult sleeping in it. Is it a sitting up tent? Probably good to go through sizing for perspective, but the angle of filming makes it look around 1.2 meters long.

Yeah, it's the angle obviously. The length is 2 300 mm / internal 2 100 mm.

Question, can you mount this directly to a fj cruiser without a rack? Also is the roof of the tent strong enough to stand on top of? Thanks for your help.

Hi Raymond, you will need a roof rack or load bars to mount the tent. We do not advise standing on the roof. You can stand on it if you have something like our Roof Rack Tray mounted on top of the tent that can carry your weight.

Like all roof top tent makers, they still don’t get the fact that the mattress is not thick enough. Fix a heap of other things and don’t address the real problem of comfort. You will have to do a darn site more than those fly’s to make it an attractive option in colder countries. I like this tent but it is not where it should be yet.
