Absolutely right.....at 17 years old I paid $100 for my first 12’ aluminum jon boat. Reset some rivets and a little RTV sealant and used it for 15 years before getting a bigger boat. Best part is, I caught more fish out of that little boat than I do in my larger boat. Get what you can afford to get started. You won’t regret it long as you’re willing to work on and keep up with maintenance (which isn’t much on a small boat).

@Henfishitydog4 жыл бұрын
@@keanureeves1915 if you're talking about water slapping the hull, that's hull design. As far as noise in the boat transmitted to the water, aluminums are starting to do closed cell foam sprays to make them unsinkable and deaden noise.

@Wired2Fish4 жыл бұрын
Hey 1504badger, as Brandon mentioned, the 1875 is the next size down from the 2075 and comes in at 18'10''. If you're seriously interested in pricing, you can spec and price out a variety of options in the Lund Pro-V Bass lineup at their "Boat Builder" site: www.lundboats.com/build-your-boat/#/model A dealer can then take it a step further with the potential for incentives/price reductions to get a final dollar amount.

Have had aluminum in the past. Dent the hull, your mph is dead. Good luck fixing that. Also it blows around like a coke can in 10 plus mph winds. Just giving guys in the market things to think about. If you are hell bent on aluminum I'd look at express. If you were like me when I bought my triton 186 with 150 yam. On a budget but liked to fish tourneys and offshore a lot. That boat did not like wind in the slightest. Good luck in your decision.
@Moby_d-k9p4 жыл бұрын
isn't glass more expensive to fix if you damage it vs aluminum?
@nick69094 жыл бұрын
This boat weighs the same as a ranger the same size so I doubt it'll blow around like other lighter aluminum mod v boats. An Xpress would go faster than this boat but if you fish big waters that get rough this boat or a fiberglass would handle it much better.
