Aluminum boats rivet replacement

I have been doing a lot of research and they say not to use steel or stainless on aluminum because is creates a chemical reaction and oxides and it eats out the aluminum. It bout the same reaction as salt and metal on cars.

I am thinking that urethane that is used on windshield and metal panel installations like hood braces on car hoods would be another good option and no mixing required, comes in caulk gun tubes. What is the MFG name of the boat motor, have not seen one installed with a foot type drive.
