My problem is that only the high bean lights stays on even if I turn off the head lights (Which they do turn off). Even if I turn off the truck, the high bean lights (Only) stays on. I have to disconnect the battery to turn the high bean lights off. What can it be?. To turn the high bean lights and off I have to move forward the multifunction switch. The turn signals work fine, the wipers work fine, the head lights turn on and off fine (On a different switch), but I can't turn off the high bean lights. How can I kill the high bean lights off?.

My Haynes manual is a bit difficult. Im really not that good a mechanic at 70 yo and never had training and have done many repairs by seat of my pants, and manuals and YT vids now, but i dont have a shop, and work just on the street or parking space.

Im 70yo, and try to do most of my repairs on my 83 f150 4.9l , but im no real mechanic. I have a bad cylinder. and i would guess a pushrod , lifter or spring bad. It has 173, 000 on it . I cannot afford to have a valve jog done on it, and to take the manifolds off would be hell as every bolt is likely rusted and unable to move. I was wondering if a total old artistic novice old man like me could try to adjust the number 2 valve and pushrod. Im suspecting a bad pushrod. Wondering if i could simply install a new pushrod. I just cannot afford a shop to do this. Im on soc sec, and stumped. Im an artistic mind and struggles greatly, though ive done some repairs myself with YT video help. I checked the spark plugs and wires, and it seems the number 2 cyl not good. I pulled plug wires off one at a time, and nothing sounded different when i pulled the plug wire off the number 2 plug. Sounds like only 5 cyl good.

2001 f250. My lights turn off when I turn off the truck. Great. But when the truck is on, the headlights are ON no matter what position I put them in. I have them in the “O” position and they are still ON. I’m running new LED headlight bulbs. Just wondering if this is normal or not.

Nice video! A word of advise for viewers, I broke a bolt on my f150 1992 4.9l 6 cyl, in which such rocker bolts hold the rocker in place.

1999 ford f-350 diesel headlights will not turn off - i disconnected every single fuse they still stayed on. Disconnected the thing you showed me and they stayed on. Only once i disconnected 3/4 battery terminals will it finally shut off. Im so sad 😭

Hello all Chevy oil cooler line repairmen! I have watched dear Bobby's videos as well as others' and am still "loose". Upon installation of the 3/8 × 1/2-flare union into the oil filter housing, the 3/8 side threads but is very loose and wiggle-able. No one has mentioned this.?? Please help! Hi Bobby, I got a 81 300 that I just put back together. I noticed in your video here that you're turning the engine over with a wrench. For some reason, my engine will not turn over at all with a wrench. It seems really tight. You have any ideas how to take care of that? I recently got the engine machined and installed new parts.

Thank you for this, I am currently in the middle of rebuilding my 300 4.9 and I was hung up on the valve adjustments. I read the book and I thought it made sense for the most part, but something about the rod clearance confused me a bit. Mainly because I am putting in new lifters so there's no oil in them yet.

I appreciate the clarification on having the pushrods still being able to spin. Somehow I read the manual as 'tighten until they don't spin' (MY screwup!) then tighten 1 turn... Good video. We'll done. '01 My 5.4L - lights come on when truck is started. Switch off. Hear a mild ticking noise inside dash, passenger side. Any thoughts ? When truck is shut down lights shut off after 10 seconds.
