Hello to all you Aluminum Dream fans. My name is Doug Weiss, I was a guitarist in the band and played on this tune recorded at Columbia studios. We lived at the Milbrook Estate of Billy Mellon Hitchcock with Tim Leary and the League for Spiritual Discovery, and played numerous club dates in NYC and for the very rich elite out in South Hampton. It was a glorious time to be in rock and roll. Unfortunately the band broke up just prior to going on a concert tour with our friends The Grateful Dead, who were frequent visitors to the Milbrook estate.

That is so good to know, Ive been a fan for quite a while, I discovered strangers calling song on Psychedelic Archeology compilations Vol. 4 back in the early 2000s, Always wandered if there was more songs somewhere

Hi Doug. I'm Billy Barth's youngest brother, Rob. Great to see your comment here. I was 12 years old when you guys recorded Strangers Calling. I'll never forget Billy bringing the 10" acetate pressing home to New Jersey. I remember bringing it to school for show and tell. And I still have it. I was probably your biggest (and youngest) fan west of the Hudson River. Best regards!

This came from my acetate which is 1 of 2 known to exist [I believe Alan Landers [?] owns the other one. Badly warped I had to tape it down to a turntable and run it through my computer software to clean it up....It can be found on a series called PSYCHEDELIC ARCHEOLOGY Volume 4.

No probs (although I'm only 21 myself haha). Jeff Airplane are probably the closest band I can think of to these guys. Psychedelic Sounds of the 13th Floor Elevators, Love - Forever Changes and Surrealistic Pillow by Jefferson are three great 60s records of this style, often overlooked my most, and all worth checking out!

churromonster......yes the one that's floating around on the internet was mastered by me from 1 of only 2 acetates of this recording. I provided Psychedelic Archeology with it for one of their releases and it proliferated on the web....
