It's really fun welding on site when someone's aluminum boatlift has been home to a half inch of zebra mussels on each side. Getting that clean enough to welding is a pipedream. Even if you get the mussels scraped off the zebra mussels leaving smell AWESOME when they're cooking... I'm lying. It's horrible.
