very diplomatic about Pivac

As with all great coaches they have great players. Wales had a group of world class players. AWJ, Warburton, Faletau, J Roberts, S Williams, G North. These players retired, grew older and along with Gatland, Edwards was invaluable.

They made them world class, regional level was filled with these players with almost no results.

Pivac didn't work out? Go tell Scotland that. Pivac won more six nation titles than Scotland have in their entire history. So let's not get too carried away. In regards to Gats not going well in the 6N this year - you must have missed his comments on using the 6N to build for the world cup. Like, that was the point of the 6N (in Gat's words). I'm not getting spiky because I am a Wales fan - but I'm not quite sure the true picture is coming across. As for the regions not doing well, but Wales doing well when they come together..... Fiji?.... South Africa?.... Australia? I'm not sure why a competitive regional base is required for a great national team. You could argue, at the moment, that the best thing to do is send your national players to the best regional teams, irrespective of what country they 'belong to'. Brazil's regional football teams are not the best in the world (neither are France's!) but their national teams sure are. Biggest problems for Wales at the moment (in my opinion): lack of depth, loss of experience, young(ish) side, lack of big game experience. Long-term: Welsh support of regional rugby and the setup in general.

Alun Wyn Jones was asked a question about Wales and what was going on behind the scenes and then rambled on about Fiji

A bad World Cup for Wales was still as good as Ireland's best ever team

Alun Wyn Jones is the most boring spoofer I’ve ever heard, watching paint dry is more interesting than him analysing a game, but he fits in perfectly with the other three boring spoofers there.

Wasn't boring when he was lions captain though, downright inspirational.

Very dodgy officiating. More than just poor. Looked knobbled. Noticed this before with some Wales games. However, as there isn’t any corruption in Wales and rugby (in spite of huge money interests now being in it), it obviously has nothing to do with corruption.

What a load of nonsense! ALl teams get decisions/game which go their way at times..that's sport and the way it goes. Wales have had more than their fair share of bad decisions and luck against them believe me. They were lucky to win yesterday without doubt, but Fiji also butchered several opportunities with poor handling, decision making at critical moments and their yellow was unavoidable. Bringing down a rolling maul near the try line has and always will be a yellow. Perspective needed..

Yeah we definitely paid all the refs over the last two years, we've been so lucky losing to Italy in the last minute and Georgia, nevermind the rest of the close loses we've had😂 Wales are always lucky every other team is always deserving. Will never change.

@DunG650 Wales are the better side? That's debatable. There's nothing between them. Fiji got over the try line numerous times. Some dodgy officiating at times let Wales off the hook. One of those was a try, not a double movement as the ref claimed.

we have been on the end of some dodgy ref calls as well over the years, thought fiji would nick this one buy they didn.t.@@PB22559
