With the Springboks being world Champs having edged the ABs by a point in the final who had already beaten Ireland?! How exactly are Springboks not number 1 and ABs number 2??

The All Blacks are learning (slowly) about how to close out test matches, but we still have a long way to go. The good thing is that we are trending upward. Tamati Williams is amazing.. This test will build a lot of confidence in Amua too to basically go the 80 minutes. The locking combinations seems to be figuring itself out. I'm excited to see who replaces Sam Cane moving forward. Ardy and Sititi are world class. I'd like to see Roigard get 60+ minutes next week. Last week and this week his impact off the bench has changed the quality of delivery to our backs enourmously. Also, his box-kicks are huge, relieving a lot of pressure. Dmac's goal kicking is great, but not sold on him yet. I don't think hes the answer, and i'd like to see Richie back ASAP. Jordy and Reiko in the centers was decent tonight but nothing outstanding. Unpopular opinnion but i'd like to see Sititi have a go in the midfield. Hes got the ball playing skills, power and strength that we lack there, and idk.. Reiko just isn't that guy. Back 3 were great. The forward reserves are great. They impact the game and have given us an edge in our last 2 matches. A stark contrast to what we experienced at the start of our season. Looking forward to next week against the French.

As a ABs supporter, I don't think the Irish thought they were entitled to the win. It's hard to be confident and not come across as arrogant, but over the last couple of years, the Irish have earnt the right to be confident and the favourites. Probably unfortunate that the All Blacks have hit their straps in the last 20, which has been missing this year 😅

As a kiwi, the Irish team just looked rusty. Not having a prior game was costly to them. In regards to the ABs, my team is in a rebuilding phase at the moment. This isn't one of the best AB teams, but I expect them to get better over the next 3 years.
@Jak3HxC15 күн бұрын
with all due respect this team is evolving, i expect them to be dialed in and 10 times better than the last team we sent to the world cup, the likes of Satiti & Roigard, Tamaiti and Tosi, these young lions will grow, and theres still Lakai, Love Proctor etc
@mikerobertson708215 күн бұрын
I think that this ‘number one team in the world’ thing is a double edge sword… The top 4 sides (SA, AB, Ireland and France) are all there or thereabouts and banging on about it only makes the other team add a few more points of effort.

Do people forget Ireland's team has been strong only the last few years? The All Blacks are only team in world who have such a consistent record for such long periods of time, yes they are rebuilding now and have had moments in the past where AB's have not been as strong, but you can't expect a Irish to be as consistent when they have only fairly recently come into form, even the Boks winning record can't compare with the AB's.

The whole Ireland #1 ranking reminds me of the Lion story - "Every once in a while, you have to show the jackals who you are. - It means that every once in a while, you have to show the world who you are and what you are capable of. The world must know that you are here for a reason. Your purpose and path are undeniable. If you want to be the best (or claim you are the best), then you must be able to defend that title when it matters. Ireland came up against a wounded NZ team, one which is going through some tough internal changes which is disrupting their team selection, and they lost, at home. MAYBE TONE DOWN THE COCKY RHETORIC NEXT TIME - enjoy your humble pie cupcakes

Pick one:Ireland lost to All Blacks because: • The ref didn’t show up; they just made it up as they went along. • They had to share a single water bottle at halftime. • Last time they played was in, oh, maybe January. • Too many injuries-running out of players before the warm-up ended. • Forgot to bring the lucky shamrock. • Thought "All Blacks" was just a dress code. • Misread the calendar and thought the game was next week. • They were just there for the scenery. • Kept asking when the game start.
