Perfect for a cold drafty house. Makes a micro climate around your bed & private area from the rest of the room. Also the lids don't walk in and see parents all NOT for lids eyes.

I wish they would show how you actually have to place your entire mattress inside the tent, not exactly very easy. Also, it's not a quick and easy as they make it seem to put together. But once you figure it out, this thing is pretty fantastic. Also, you don't want to be setting this up and tearing it down often.

It looks like there's a two-zipper mechanism for the head or foot of the bed tent; one zipper for the solid canvas and the other for the screen, is that correct? Also, can this tent be waterproofed so that it can be used outside for playtime forts and yard camping? Thank You :)

Yes there are two zipper mechanisms one at the end & one at the side, so you can change the entrance/exit to suit. It is not waterproof as it is made for use inside & the material is not intended to be weatherproof. I suggest getting one of those cheap pop up tents for the kids to play with outside, they are more durable for play too as they don't use tent poles.
