Why didn't you use the T1 center drill as suggested by BRP? I don't have one so I would prefer to skip that step if advisable.

Does the screw go into the body that the rubber strip is sitting on? My bolts are longer than the thickness of the rubber and will penetrate what the rubber is sitting on. 2024 Seadoo GTX Limited

In general, would it be better to use a sealant when making holes to make. Water tight seal to prevent water getting in the ski? Thanks. I’m learning a lot from these videos.

where the holes were drilled its in a spot that has no risk of water getting into the ski. there were no holes made in the hull but on the outside trim

Thank you for supporting the channel. 🙏🏼 I have been using these over 5 years now. I think they do a great job for non rough water dock conditions. I have used them a couple of times while the water around particular docks were rough and have seen them fall off which of course the ski got scratched. I now just try to avoid docks that have rough water around them all together bc you would need huge multiple bumpers to protect your ski anyways.

Nice Video 😎 I’ve got the new 2021 GTR & just purchased the Fenders & Kit. But I purchased the 295100729 snap in kit. They appear to fit pretty similar. It says in they fit 2019 and up.

This kit drills screws in horizontally and not at an angle. I have seen some use the smaller mounts but 3 holes are required for each mount.

Are you riding with the bumpers on? If so, you are suppose to be bc most Seadoo hulls do a great job of keeping spray away from the riders.

I think it might be user error. I’ve noticed some people have been riding with the bumper/fenders on and you aren’t suppose to.

I have a bilge installed in my GTX300 and Trixx but haven’t had any issues. It is a nice back up to have for your piece of mind. I may install one in the RXP but would like to put the drain where I can see it when riding.

Great video, thanks a ton for all of the content. I installed the fenders on a 21 gti se and took it out for the first time 2 weeks ago. I noticed splashing to the point of soaking the third seat when I would go around 15-20 mph. The water was hitting the back bumper bracket just right. Do you have any splashing? Thanks!!

Yeah I i’ve noticed when going slow the rear mount the splash up a bit. I may change it to the older mounts That go to the GTX.

The cheap ass piece of plastic used as the retaining post (built into the foam fenders) is awful, breaks very easily, I regret getting these. Waiting for somebody to come up with a good way to replace them with something metal from a hardware store. Did you have the same experience?

No, I haven’t had that happen to any of mine. But then again I hardly ever dock anywhere that’s rough waters. If I have to dock at a rough dock, I look for a spot where I can hook up dock lines at a angle to keep my ski floating away from the dock.

Another thing you can do is put a piece of tape on the drill bit. That way you know when to stop.

They are "snap-in fenders" but you do have to install the mounting kit only once.

These things are poorly made. I installed them on both my 2021 gtx 300 limiteds. They easily get knocked off the ski while docked, then you gotta go get it before it floats away. Huge waste of money. The plastic brackets cause additional drag when you’re moving. I’m gonna replace the rub rails, then throw these darn things in the garbage 😡

Don’t throw them in the garbage! Mail them to me if you truly don’t like them. I will pay for shipping.😂.. They are really not meant for any docks with high traffic and rough. My friend and I recently did a little modification to them adding a leash/tether to them which makes them securely stay on. I just use them in Bimini Bahamas having to leave my ski in the water over several nights and they stayed on with no worries.
