We keep extra pads just in case you need them. In calm water at the ramp or dock this work great. But rough water you need more protection. The big pads that you tie to the bars and seat area work better for that.

Just want to point out that there are measurements for the distances, and I believe the one near the speaker is way to far out… But I think u did that on purpose to protect the speaker.

We did our way because the oem instruction do not protect the speakers of the high spot on the back side

The mounts are never meant to removed. It’s a permanent install

The screws don’t go in the hull to leak. The screw is only in the railing.

I would have used a block of scrap wood behind where you're drilling, just in case. Holes in the railing are nothing, but holes in your hull are bigtime FUBAR

You can but a shop rag does the job plenty good. Done over200 and it’s never let us down. Drill bit just does go through fabric like a knife
