Chocolate Chip it wouldn't surprise me if cats CAN read.... they are soooo smart. All my cats I've had know what the doorknob does because they sit there and stare at it and meow at it when they want out (I can't let them out though.... I'm too overprotective) and 2 of my cats actually know how the doorknobs work and can open doors. Amazing critters they are!

My first cat never came when called, but my current one is from a shelter and was really traumatised and when I finally got her to calm down and feel safe she became really dependent and attached to me so I just need to show my presence or make a certain noise and she'll come running. But she still won't come on my lap or groom me. Every cat is different and their life experience also determines how they'll show their love.

cats are more loving and intelligent than people understand, they just can't be broken and trained like dogs (or humans.) They can sense how you feel, sometimes better than you can. They are an alpha predator and/but they really do have a strong sense of family, not in a way of loyalty, but in a way of affection. For me, an unmistakable sign she loved me was when she brought me so many dead mice and birds I worried she'd upset the local ecosystem.

I saw your instagram page and am so sad to figure out that he has passed away :(, and it was so close to the day I lost my first cat, Baby (May 23, 2021). This girl is going to grow up with him. I was 5 when I got my cat Juanita, I'm 22 now and she passed away two weeks ago at the age of 18. We shared a long life together full of love and memories. My cat Coconut is 19 next birthday, I have had her with me since 8 weeks old. Both my children were 4 and 5 when Coconut came to live with us, and now they are 22 and 23. They have spent almost all their lives with her. She is still really healthy and active too, so I think she will be around for a while yet! Cats are awesome 🤗🐱

@@melmazing3993 I and my mom fully believe Juanita would have lived longer if our neighbor didnt spray pesticides all over our neighborhood. He started to spray everyone's house and once he started doing that, all 3 of our cats started having problems. Juanita ended up having hyperthyroidism and it may have been linked to the sprays , I'm not sure. My step dad let it happen and he didn't know better. But its really heartbreaking because our cats grew up being indoor/outdoor cats and now with my dad's cats, I never wanna let them outside because what happened to my mom's cats was traumatic. Gosh sorry for spilling my feelings out It just was a really hard year for our animals.

I know how painful it is to loose a pet. It’s a terrible and devastating feeling. I stayed in bed for almost a week without eating and even so it still hurts to loose my cat Nava. She was the sweetest. I’m sorry about Alvi. He was so adorable I wish I could kiss his nose haha I have four cats and one of them looks like Alvi same color and I kiss their noses all the time. I really love cats. I know Alvi is in a better place now completely healed. He was a very adorable little angel 😇

I found a cat at a animal shelter, 3 months ago, named him Helios. He chose me, no joke, he rubbed against me, meowing and started to lick my leg until I picked him up, he started purring instantly and just fell asleep. When we got home, he followed me upstairs and laid against me, whenever I’d come home from school, he’ll run up to the door and wait for me, meowing until I come in, whenever I eat, Helios just sits beside me and purrs.

Isn’t it funny how when cats lay on or around us we suddenly feel compelled to remain where we are? He'd vocalize, move his legs, but the cutest thing he'd do is nurse like a kitten. He was sound asleep but he'd be kneading with his front paws & making little sucking noises , putting all the while. He did it all his life. Once he had a bad nightmare. He jumped up looking surprised. He was growling & then he took like something awful was after him.

I am actually crying! This reminds me of my first 3 babies..fur babies that is. They all lived to be 20 years old. When they passed away, when I was about 26 years old, I was truly devastated and depressed for about 2 years. I didn't fully recover until I found an abandoned 3 week old kitten in our garage. I brought her in, bottle fed her and she has been by my side ever since. She is now a healthy kitty! She is purrfect and i love her immensely. She loves me too.Thank you for the video! MEOW!

I will never forget my favorite cat. When I was a freshman in high school, my friend had a momma cat that had a litter of kittens. My mom told me that I could pick one to have as my own. I picked the runt of the litter. He was so small and seemed so unhealthy to my mom but I told her that I had a connection with him and he was the one that I wanted. He really was my best friend. I lived out In the country and he was an inside/ outside cat. My bedroom was on the second floor of my parents house. I couldn't go to sleep with out him, so I would open up my window at night and call for him. He always came to me. My dad's truck was parked underneath my room. My sweet cat would get on top of my dad's truck and I would hang out of the window to catch him while he jumped up to me! He lived to be 19 years old! I will never forget about him!
