Richard is cute, I'm glad Cody accepted his company. Usually cats are very territorial, especially the males (but even females are, to a lesser extent). However once another cat is finally accepted in the "pack", they get along well. I have a visitor cat from a nearby house on a daily basis. It took him a few weeks to be accepted by my own cat, but he didn't gave up. Now it's more or less normal to have said visitor around, sometimes even inside the house for a few hours.

My cat's fav toy is a new crate box each month from Costco that the food comes in instead of bags. They play "Defend The Box" all day. One is inside the box and must defend from the other getting into the box. They change at some point and it begins all over again. Anyone else?

Dude, Richard has decided to adopt you! Congratulations! I had a similar situation here a few years ago. A neighbor's cat started hanging around my house with my cat and wouldn't go home. I took him across the street back to his house a few times but he just kept coming back. Eventually, the neighbor said, "I guess he just likes your house better," and, _voila!_ I had another cat in my household!

Another great video from this channel. Thanks. It is interesting how cats can accept some cats, but not others. It is my observation is that if new cat is not aggressive in nature, they are more likely to be accepted by other cats. Also, as cats get older they seem to be more tolerant of other cats and more likely to enjoy the company.
