Holy hell, back when i was at Wainwright if a truck didnt start (outside) at -30 we just said "oh well, nothing we can do, we might blow up the battery " glad to hear things aren't as bad as in 2018

Alvin, the Motor Pool near us was called the 'Motor Hole' because it was unpaved. You should have seen had bad it got when the snow melted and all the mud all over everything! Back then, it was SUSV's and CUCV's. 2 1/2 ton or Deuce and a Halfs were for the summer. The first time the HUMV's showed was back in 89 at Ft. Greely for Artic Winter Testing. At least that was the first time I every saw one. The vehicles and some of the equipment you have there now is much much better and the amount of support your getting from Division (presumably) looks so much better. The temporary structure or 'winmat' is such a good idea. You can imagine how much trouble the Winter gave us as far keeping the vehicles ready to go. We were very reliant on SUSV's. Another Good video.

No you don’t get vehicles issued. You either ship or drive your car
