Very Important point!! The showrooms always show RVs with them open. If you're new to RVs, you might not be thinking about accessing the rear while driving. Thanks, James!!

When we were shopping for a motorhome, we learned to ask the salesmen to close up the coach so that we could see what the coach looked like when we would be driving down the road. Several models of manufacturers did not accommodate their designs to be used on the road. Most of the sales staff were reluctant to do that and as it turns out, that was an indicator for no access to something. Sometimes, it was the frig, sometimes it was the bathroom or the bed. We did see a few like you showed, tight walk way. We bought a 2010 Tiffin Phaeton and sold it last year.

Our 2007 Monaco Dynasty Palace III is perfectly usable with the slide outs retracted. The only issue is you can’t easily get past the bed to access the rear closet. But that’s pretty small potatoes in the big scheme of things.

Yes, its true. Ours isn't high-end or middle but at least can be use comfortable even if the slide won't work.

Yes don’t put your billfold in a drawer in front of the bed. I figured that out when I stopped for fuel and I had the choice of lifting up the mattress or running the slide out to retrieve it. 😂😂

Not a deal breaker for me ! Small inconvenience! I wish I had that burden to deal with.
