I just watched Harrison Ave, twice!! That's such a dope track, on many levels, one of those ones I know I'll catch something new the first 10 or 20 times I listen to it.

All jokes aside he actually acted that pretty damn good that was sick
@Khanfuzed111 ай бұрын
All jokes aside i wish he’d lay off the jokes; he constantly kills his flow to be funny and honestly just want to hear him rap. Like dude can do it, but it’s really hard to vibe past the first listen

@@Khanfuzed1 just go listen to some of his series songs then lol
@holyjolias322911 ай бұрын
@@Khanfuzed1 fact, but it's his style. maybe he'll drop a consistent rap song at some point but then he'd just sound like everyone else
@Khanfuzed111 ай бұрын
@@holyjolias3229 i kinda agree, but idk his freestyles and stuff back in the day were sick for repeat listens. They had some jokes too, but they didn’t usually take you completely out of the riff. It just seemed like he cared more

@@Khanfuzed1bro wtf I literally had been thinking the same hot damn thing. His freestyles were ridiculous m, the bars, the flow and he would have comedy but it wasn’t as heavy and yea didn’t stop the flow. Like the parts on here with the ken doll or others where u just pause, which he’s does on purpose, never let them know your next move. Like he’s always been corny af but his bars were immaculate. He’s without a doubt better lyrically and even flow wise than 90% of all rappers. Lmao I remember telling some of my friends about him and then I’d say his name and they’d be like wtf bro. But then I would show the Westbrook on a farm, antagonist, and his freestyles and it was over. He’s undeniably good it just he doesn’t seem to know his lane or desires. But even so he doesn’t merely write nonsense raps. Idk I wish he would just stuck with rap, I feel like lebron went to the nfl and not the nba. We needs him cause damn, this SoundCloud mumble migos type shit be killing me. I just ranted, a lil bakey

Someone probably cleared this up already but Sony didn’t drop Ren like that. I forgot how he explained it, but it was amicable. I understand the assumption, though.
@sunshynff11 ай бұрын
Hey guys, great reaction, for real, loved that you dove in and did both videos as well, so I swear, not tryin' to throw shade, or be "that guy" two reactions in a row, but..... NO NO NO, Ren did NOT get "dropped" by Sony. This is not me sticking up for them, or saying they're above dropping someone, or making crappy big industry moves, just setting the record straight....... When Ren was 16 he was discovered while busking on the streets by Eric Appapoulay, a British musician, songwriter (former guitarist for Neneh Cherry, bassist and producer for Plan B). Ren hooked up with Eric and they started writing songs together for a group they were putting together. Eric also had a deal with Sony where developed or brought them up and coming artists, so he signed Ren to a development deal with Sony, through him, this only required Ren to do occasional showcase gigs, so Sony execs could check him out or see how he was progressing, Ren never technically met with Sony and "signed" with them directly. During this time, when he was 17, is when the Lyme disease started rearing it's ugly head, eventually getting to the point he barely made it through a showcase gig, and almost passed out on stage. Eric insisted that he take some time off and get better, and assured him it wouldn't affect anything with them working together or Sony. After a couple months when Ren figured out he wasn't getting better, he called Eric, apologized, and said he was too sick to continue the development deal and needed to back out of it and the music/band he was working on with him. Eric was very gracious and wished him well in getting healthy. Years later, when Ren started making music again and had turned the corner on his illness, he started making what would be his first Album, Freckled Angels, he called Eric to ask if he could use the music/songs they had previously written together for his album. Again, Eric was totally gracious and said absolutely, and noted that he never tied them to Sony in anyway, and that Ren was more than welcome to have them. Ren has said in several interviews, that Eric is one of the few good guys in an industry that too often has a lot of not so good guys, and that he will forever be thankful for Eric's friendship and guidance at a time when Ren didn't know much about the industry. Just wanted to throw that out there, thanks! ✌💚
