I went to a lil dicky show in Orlando before he blew up and he had an entire PowerPoint presentation of “A rap show” that he read throughout the show. The cops also showed up because during Too High everybody started smoking but there were only like 100 people there and Florida loves to convict for it😂

I remember being at one of Dicky’s first shows in Boston in 2014 and had a backstage pass that he gave me for being first in line waiting all day. He was shooting the shit with a small group of us before the show and telling about the concept of this song before it ever got made. He pretty much laid out his vision of a job interview type song with a huge rapper as the “boss” and was throwing out names like Dre, Eminem, and Snoop. When this finally came out, it was crazy to see it all come to fruition. It was just surreal hearing an artist you enjoy planning out a project like that years in advance and seeing the end result of his perseverance in accomplishing his vision.
