What a great Rod Steward song! You have done a lot of Rod so far, but his hit list is massive, so there's so much more to explore. Some suggestions: Downtown Train, First Cut is the Deepest and his cover of Have I Told You Lately (You already reacted to Van Morrison's version - when you do your next cover day, you need to add this to the list).

Better still, listen to Rod's solo version, from 1969. Written by Mike d'Abo, who took over as lead singer in Manfred Mann, from Paul Jones. The first hit with it was by the great Chris Farlowe, in 1967. People seem to miss the fact that Rod started out singing R'n'B, Soul and a bit of Blues, in the early 1960s.
